Sir Sam's Inn

Rooms are quite dated. Stepped on a rusty nail that had appeared because the dated carpet had come loose on the stairs in our room. Maintenance and house keeping saw my bloody foot, but no follow up from management. We attended the lounge for an afternoon cocktail and there was no bartender insight. Rather there was an employee fixing her own alcoholic beverage, who on her way out shouted into the back "you have real guests out there". On tap Beer selection was limited as half the taps were not working/hooked up. The shining light in the experience was the food. Dave has some serious skill in the kitchen. Unfortunately, this experience was also tainted by some discrimination due to our age. Since we did not have grey hair, we were treated as second class and often served last and follow up regarding our meals was sparse. Overall I'd say 2 stars because it wasn't an absolute waste of time. The saving grace for this resort is the location and beauty of the country side. However, a word of advice would be to have your tetanus shots up to date.

Great place to stay and friendly service. They have an amazing chef so the good was always. Rob who overseas everything maintenance and his team were were very helpdul in ensuring we got to do everything we came for. Service and spa are incredible. This is definitely a gem of a place and all the staff were very accommodating

First night was awesome. Woke up to find sewer back up happening in the washroom. Took them 2.5 hours to resolve the issue. It turned out all they had to do was get the septic tank evacuated. Wasted half my day. Moved me to another room which was smaller and cheaper. It's an awesome location with a dated Motel. No microwave. Dinning was pricey. One drink each, no dessert for either and it was $150 for 2. I might come here again but only for the location. At $250 a night I expected better rooms and better management.

We were there and loved the place and location BUT we were not told that the outdoor pool was not open yet because they were waiting for some kind of inspection.....i mean come on it's the middle of June and no outdoor pool? I would have appreciated the heads up. We booked a boat tour for Saturday at 2:30 and were told that it was cancelled due to storm warning......it eventually rained 7 hours later. The place is nice and my room had a great view but although the staff sort of tried my satisfaction was not met. Unsure if I will go again.....

The food was awesome and we had a lot of fun exploring the area and taking part in many activities. The room was very nice
