Silver Sands Tent & Trailer Park

Stayed there for two nights. By no means an upscale campground. Rather rustic and homey but the owners were very friendly and helpful and the washroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. We did not experience any significant noise issues, despite what a previous reviewer wrote. Having said that, there is a highway and a railway track nearby and I would not have wanted to be in campsite right beside them. But most of those sites were for seasonal campers anyway. The lower sites on the sand not far from the office and near the river were quite lovely.

I Come here for my family reunion every year. Always had a great time when i was a kid. There's an awesome beach along the river, and theres an arcade and recreation room for the kids. Tractor bucket full of wood for burning cheap.

If you consider not getting into sleep because of either trucks or trains passing by next to your tent: go here. Facts: - campsite VERY noisy - sand everywhere, which will literally kill your tent - no kitchen/main room - laundry is available - restrooms and shower available and clean We will definitely not return as it was hardly possible to sleep because of the noise (railroad and highway directly next to the park).
