My husband and I were married 10 years ago and camped for our honeymoon in Algonquin Trails Camping resort. This past weekend we celebrated this milestone at our favourite park. We enjoyed a lovely evening campfire, revisited Stuart Memorial Church near Dwight Beach where we wed and reminisced about our happy day. When we returned, Dan’s special wood delivery to us was a wonderful surprise. Once again above and beyond, and truly appreciated. Of all the world class destinations where people travel, our hearts remain at Algonquin Trails. Thanks for all the happy years and great memories… Cheers to many more!

Big sites with lots of trees. No road noise or trains. 10 minute walk to the bakery :) Needs sewer hook ups for short duration camping

Not the a great experience big warning to anyone considering this park DO NOT RELY ON THE MAP PROVIDED from this park its is not accurate at all I ended up having to walk 40 min. down an 80 km/hour highway to get to Dwight if you dont trust me look on google maps also the internet sucks and not many things to do OH AND NO TENT CAMPING WITH TRAILER THEY ONLY TELL YOU AFTER YOU HAVE PAID.
Although I half to say the pool is awesome . This park has huge potential if they fix there problems but for now I would not suggest camping here. honest truth

Quiet as a mouse...Love that!!
Sure, it's not Heartside Grove...but never the less a very nice place to camp!!.
Pretty much next to the gates of Algonquin, it's a convenient location with no rowdy crowds around, works for me!
As for the rules...Great!!. keeps the place neat and tidy.
And yes, the washrooms/showers do look like a jump through the Twilight Zone back into a 50's Five N Diner but... kept 100% clean and tidy at all times, plus a nice pool.
This was a KOA at some point, but the tenting part has been abandoned by current owners, problably because tenters in general leave a big pile of garbage, so no surprise and welcome to us.
And yes, do bring your own internet as it's shared by other campers uploading/streaming bear videos to facebook.
If I could recommend one thing to Dan... Fix the potholes going into the place, this will keep the pots/pans as they were before we pulled in.
Great time being here.

This is our second year coming up to this magnificent place, and I would never go elsewhere. Myself and my daughter are from Toronto, and I was alittle concerned on our first visit as things move alittle slower up here, the amenities of home (tv, video games) aren't present, and the bugs. Within 20 minutes I felt right at home, and our daughter was off on an adventure looking for bugs, sticks, and rocks. Something unheard of in Toronto, a busy sometimes unsafe place. The owners Dan and Laura were there to tend to our every need. My concerns were immediately put at rest. The peace and quiet is remarkable, and everyone that camps here is nothing but friendly and helpful. It feels almost like a little community within itselfs. I have never met more friendly, outgoing people like Laura and Dan. We work very hard throughout the year saving for our vacation, and this place more than provides everything we are looking for at a price that doesn't break the bank. The owners are very knowledgeable and suggest the best spots to eat, where to go to enjoy the sun (Dwight Beach), or any other possible interests you may have. They are very approachable, kind people. We had a car issue our third day in, and Dan took time out of his very busy schedule to offer a hand and advice. If you're looking for a family friendly place where you can enjoy your hard earned vacation Algonquin Camping Resort is the place to be. My home away from home ❤
