Shoppers Drug Mart

I rarely write reviews, but I/we my husband and I feel Jeff always provides exceptional experience at Shoppers Drug Mart in River District! Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to help us. Whether we needed advice on medications or quick service, he never disappoint. We can't express how we appreciate Jeff taken the time to explain everything clearly and answer all our questions. We highly recommend Jeff at this pharmacy for anyone looking for top-notch service and care for their health !

Good place. Clean and well stocked. Down side is that not a lot of goods compared to the other shoppers. But that's about it. Not a lot of people. Staff is nice but not over worked since there's not a lot of people. There's the usual self check out and tellers. Pharmacy and postal service is there.nnParking is underground, entrance to this is behind the whole block of Shoppers building. Be aware that there is not a whole lot of parking and it is shared with other establishments in the building. Parking is free now but once the sports complex is up people will be flocking in and it will be paid parking.

Came into the Shoppers in River District for the first time, everything was very organized and I was very surprised at the wide beauty section. The staff was very accommodating especially Imani who was very knowledgable and helpful. I was looking for a gift for my mom and wasn't sure what to get, Imani helped me find a great skin care set that was a good price in a short amount of time. Will definitely coming back!

The older male Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacist made the executive decision to switch my birth control from brand name to generic, without consulting me on the side effects or if I even wanted this change. I went into a deep depression read up on this, the side effects between brand name and generic are nuts after the change it, was terrible. My husband was so worried, and was the one to point out the change was my birth control. The pharmacist told me the brand name product was not available anymore, so I had no choice but to have the generic which uses cheaper ingredients with significant side effects. I called the SDM at Champlain Shopping Center nearby, and was able to get my brand name birth control no problem with no excuses about it being discontinued. The pharmacy team at Champlain was perturbed as to why River District pharmacy would say such a thing. Be careful!

The store have a policy of not accepting credit card for the purchase of gift cards, not even PC MasterCard and have to pay by cash or debit. I was not told about that until I was making the payment. I ended up paying by debit but as an afterthought I should have walked. What is the point for printing on the receipt saying you could earn more points by paying with your PC MasterCard if the store doesn't accept that as a form of payment?
