Worst pharmacy in the city. Always huge lineups and understaffed. It’s even worse since the Reno’s and there is only one line up for prescription pick up and drop off. Every time I end up in one of their crazy line ups I hear others complaining. Yesterday, I waited 20 minutes to drop off my prescription. Ridiculous. Also, you can never get through the phone lines. So forget even trying to call. Chad the owner, needs to hire more staff and stop thinking about just profits. I feel bad for the staff there. They are definitely overworked. I’m looking forward to more pharmacies opening up in the area.
The pharmacy team has been amazing and so helpful for my young family frequently getting sick at daycare and work. I'm new to the area and I've had several great experiences here. Julie worked so hard to help get me in and out quickly so I didn't need to come back for my prescriptions later.
It just bothers me that when I drop a prescription the pharmacist asked a lot of questions that I don’t think is necessary. It’s my first time to use this pharmacy location. The staff asked, what did I feel, how long am I sick for, what are my symptoms that the doctor prescribed antibiotics, and if I was being tested in the doctors office. I ask him what test did he mean, he did not answer me and continue to ask another question. There was another customer behind me who heard everything which feels even more terrible. Feels like Im in the doctor’s clinic again, but without the privacy. I usually drop my prescriptions in Rexall, beside my Doctor’s clinic but last night they were about to close. They never ask me these questions, I just drop the prescription and they will explain to me how to use it upon pick up.nNever again, will I use this pharmacy.
I went in to ask a question about a medicine I found on their shelf. It was more of just a very quick confirmation to make sure I was buying the right thing. 6 people behind the counter. Not one acknowledged me. I waited longer then got told to wait at the “let’s talk” bar. Waited. 4 woman looked at me. Deliberately ignored. Did not say a simple hello. Not even a head nod. Very rude. I walked out after waiting long enough. They showed it was not important to tend to customers buying things off their shelf. Not even a smile.
Shoppers Drug Mart is convenient and well designed. What I mean about being well designed is that it’s easy to get around and pleasing to the eyes. I find that its a little pricey but if you pay attention to the sales and you should have the PC Optimum card for the 20x points on Saturdays and other bonus products you can add up the points fast and get a great rewards you can spend at Shoppers or any other Loblaws store like Superstore. I will continue to come here as I like what Shoppers has.
