Visited Wooden Spoon in White Rock about 5-10 min drive from the pier in late May 2026. It's not a huge place and was pretty busy for a Friday morning don't people work anymore?. Had the Hot Chocolate $4.95, London Fog $6.95, Ribeye Hash $22.95, and Farmhouse Breakfast $19.95.nnThe hash came on crispy French fries, which had me reminiscing about the poutine we had in Montreal recently. Liked the touch cut bacon in the dishes. Overall, pretty good in the area.

Yum, such a cute spot I'd been waiting much too long to check out. Friendly staff, good coffee and eats. My husband noted the jam seemed homemade and was delicious, bacon and sausage excellent, eggs perfectly poached medium - Farmhouse Breakfast.nnI had the Sweet & Salty and it was soooo good. Tender French toast, thick and flavourful bacon and the aged cheddar.nnWill be back next time we are nearby.

We had a reservation for 915am and we arrived at 9am and were seated immediately. Service is always consistently good. The servers are attentive. We never had to ask for refills for coffee. We ordered good food and were not disappointed. I ordered the rib eye hash and it had a slight sweetness and the fried jalapeños gave it a spiciness that was a good balance against the seasoning. The fries were crunchy and seasoned properly. It was so loaded with goodness. I was so full afterwards. Come hungry. Thank you for the excellent service and the superb food.

Parking was also very easy, with plenty of spots available at the back.nThe food was nicely plated and presentation was good. The flavours were well balanced and not overly salty. All three dishes did come with a generous amount of potato wedges, so they are on the heavier side carb-wise, which is worth noting depending on your preferences.nOne thing we found unusual was that about an hour after finishing our meal, all of us felt quite parched. We hadn’t had any coffee or alcohol, and the food didn’t taste salty, so it stood out.nOverall, a popular brunch spot with friendly service, good presentation, and convenient parking.

Our first time eating at The Wooden Spoon, and it definitely won’t be the last. We stopped in for breakfast and weren’t disappointed. We both ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast, which comes with two eggs, two strips of bacon, their homemade sausage, sourdough toast, and a fresh salad. The portions are huge and the food was top‑notch — everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared.nnService was great, even with the place buzzing. It does get busy, so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s absolutely worth it.
