Shin Pond Village

An incredible experience here at Shin Pond Village. We stayed at the tent sites where we found endless peace and quiet. Very clean, spacious sites with a stream running behind some of the sites. My son spent most of his time down there watching the water. Bathrooms/shower house is a bit of a walk, but they are clean and well maintained. Owners and staff are very kind and helpful. As a family who try hard to find more private tent sites in a sea of RV campgrounds, this is up near the top for most private! We will definitely be back!

We stayed in cabins in July 2022. They are beautiful, clean, large with air conditioning and fans! Nice size refrigerator, dishes, pot, skillets, stove, large shower and toilet. Bed are comfortable and large! Views from the cabin porches are magnificent: mountains and forest! Location is wonderful: town is just a easy drive. Their office has beers, wine, basic stuff to purchase and restaurant. Nothing to complain. Stuff was friendly. It's so much to do in this area: we only stayed 3 days and wished we could stay longer- Definitely will come back again. We drive all the way from Long Island, New York: road trip over 2 weeks exploring New England and Maine. Highly recommend this place!

This place was so comfortable! We stayed at Shin Pond House. It had 4 bedrooms and could sleep up to 12 in beds. Beautiful view of the pond and there was even a float plane out front. Clean space, lots of windows and sun streaming in. It was a little cool so we certainly appreciated the heat pump! We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and it was a great place for getting ready pics!

Cabin was very cozy and comfortable, had everything we needed for our week stay. We kayaked upper shin and lower shin pond, had easy access to both ponds. Was able to atv right from the property, went to a couple of great lookouts, rode over to island falls for lunch, lots of great trails. We visited Baxter State Park one day and rode in the truck to the ghost trains another day. Ate at the pub a few nights, food was great, staff was excellent and all the locals were very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the winter for snowmobiling.

Staff was very helpful in booking our site. The Village is well kept. Clean and well maintained. Sites were adequate. Campers were respectful of others even though there were many ATV riders.Location: 5/5

Wrapping up another stay up here at Shin Pond Village. Time and time again the staff and the accommodations here have exceeded our expectations. The food and service in the restaurant are both top notch and the cabin we stayed in Meadow Way had super comfortable memory foam beds. It’s been my experience that owner operated businesses in Maine always go the extra mile, Shin Pond Village definitely proves that point. The atv trail are also in great shap and never ending.

Clean bathrooms, quiet, friendly folks. Great food in the restaurant. Even during the first week of moose hunting season it was great. Easy access to Baxter State ParkService: 5/5

We had our wedding here at Shin Pond and cannot say enough praise about this venue. We stayed just over a week at the Lake House and had family in all the cabins, couple of camper sites and everyone kept saying how perfect everything was. Blaine and the staff are all incredible. Anything we needed, they had or found for us. Extremely accommodating! Highly recommend coming here for vacation or having as your wedding venue. Such an amazing place! Thank you Shin Pond for making our day and vacation back to Maine perfect.
