Birch Haven Campground

My review may be slightly bias because I'm a seasonal camper here. We have been here 5 years and are absolutely in love with this place. Great people, beautiful campground on probably the nicest lake northern Maine has. There are stores and restaurants and even a golf course within minutes, located just outside of the beautiful St. John River valley and downtown Fort Kent. There is little to no vehicle traffic driving through the campground, it's roughly half a mile across it in any direction with paved and gravel roads, it's great for leisure walks or bike rides and a playground for the children. There is also our own beach area with a dock and slide, a sectioned swim area with a water trampoline. We have a beautiful washroom with clean showers and an on site laundromat. Come and stay a while, you will not be disappointed.

We been at this campground for 43 years wouldn’t change place beautiful. My kids grew up at Birch Haven now there doing the same with their kids. Social and family and friends gather here at this campground activities of all kind what else is there to say BirchHaven is the place to be

Beautiful well kept campground. This place is absolutely gorgeous, hopefully the seasonal campers realize what a gem this spot is. I think this is a mostly seasonal campground being it almost felt like a little village where roofing and decks were in abundance being attached to well maintained campers with neighbors that are friendly and have seemed to know everyone for years. The owners are super friendly, really accommodating and helpful, anything we needed we just had to ask.The lake itself is massive with lots of boating action and fishing. You can access the water at the campground with a small spot for swimming or launch your water toys and even enjoy the waterside off the dock. Our party of 3 campers stayed in a spot across the street from the laundry and office in a well maintained pull through sites that was full hook up with a nice picnic table and awesome fire ring that could be utilized to cook on plus plenty of room for our games and gathering. We enjoyed our stay and will add it to our list of places we would like to visit yearly. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

My husband and I have been camping here for 8 years and are in love with this place. The lake is peaceful with the sound of loons and we are surrounded by birch trees and and a wonderful bunch of people. The campground is clean with large public bathrooms and showers. I would highly recommend for a family camping vacation.

There is no better place as far as I’m concerned, I am a seasonal at Birch Haven but do travel our camper around every summer, I have yet to find a place that makes me feel as welcome as I do here. The lake is beautiful, campground is clean, bathrooms are clean, people are amazing, the owners are second to none. Come see what Northern Maine has to offer!

Birch Haven Campground is truly a gem found tucked in the beauty of Northern Maine! The clean, exquisitely maintained property holds some of the nicest people you will ever meet! You are part of one large family the minute you step out of the vehicle! The water of Eagle Lake rinses away the stress of daily life! If you are considering a campground for a week, month or the entire summer season, this would be the one! The area is blessed with this unique piece of heaven!

I have been all over the US with work and leisure activities - this campground is one of my all-time favorites. The campground consists of 100 plus sites, most of which are occupied by seasonal RV's. This is not a KOA with people coming and going - don't call and try and to book a lake view campsite, not an option, but all campsites are less than a 5 minute walk to the lake. If you want to enjoy pristine wilderness on a beautiful lake with great people this is the spot!

4th year at Birch Haven, Great Family Camping! Great people, and very out going and helpful. New across the road camp sites. Great beach and swim area for everyone. Playground for the kids. Good summer getaway!!!

I have been a seasonal resident of Birch Haven for the past 3 years and I have to say this is a very clean and well managed campground. It is very family oriented especially for families with kids.

We've been going to this campground since I was a child, 20+ yrs. It's an amazing place, the people are great and the staff is great as well. So many things to do there for children and adults. A++++
