We recently stayed at the Sheraton for our wedding weekend, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, Solomon at the front door made us feel welcomed and cared for, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. The front desk staff were equally kind and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and with genuine warmth.nnA special thank you to our coordinator, Michael P., who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled seamlessly. The handwritten note was such a thoughtful touch, and it meant so much to us on such an important day.nnOur rooms were spotless, comfortable, and incredibly welcoming after a long and emotional wedding day. The combination of professionalism, kindness, and personal touches truly made our stay memorable.nnWe are so grateful to the team at the Sheraton for making our special weekend even more wonderful. Highly recommend
Considering the location, the rooms are quite clean. The hotel bar was pretty decent and served food fairly late. Don’t walk around by yourself in the dark in this area. Parking garage seemed well monitored which was reassuring. Decent food options a short walk away on a cute little street. Starbucks in the lobby.
Rating 5 stars for what it is - a downtown Sheraton. Cleanliness and facilities were as good as expected, beds and pillows were particularly comfortable, clean shower with impressive amenities. Gym was decently equipped but too hot/inadequate AC for 30C weather.nnHowever what made this stay so memorable was Kevin who checked us in extremely late at night, but maintained a super joyful attitude and accommodated us in ways we haven’t been before even in much fancier hotels - despite the Marriott club lounge being closed, he accommodated us getting snacks and beverages, a late checkout, and other perks that make it a privilege to stay at a hotel and build loyalty with a brand.nnThank you Kevin for your sunny disposition at 4am and making us feel like truly honoured guests.
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Hamilton and was very disappointed with my experience. After dinner, my partner and I returned to our floor only to find the hallway full of intoxicated adults drinking and children running around throwing balls. One even nearly hit me as I walked to my room.nWe immediately called the front desk, who apologized and mentioned a “racketball” team had booked the floor. They said they would send security, but the noise continued even after security arrived. My partner had to personally speak to the group, who admitted they had been given the entire floor. Although they promised to move further down the hallway, the noise persisted.nAs a teacher, I know how to handle children, and I can confidently say that what was allowed to happen was completely unacceptable. Children do not “own” the space, and with proper supervision they are not “unstoppable.” This was not just kids being kids—it was poor management from the adults in charge of the kids and the hotel staff.nWhat’s most frustrating is that the hotel seemed to have no clear policy—or at least no enforcement—when it comes to noise and behavior in the hallways. Allowing large groups to treat the floor like a playground, especially with alcohol involved, put paying guests in an uncomfortable and unsafe situation.nWe called security a second time and were offered another room, but by that point we felt uncomfortable and left. Ironically, when we left, the hallway was suddenly quiet and empty.nFor a hotel of this standard, I expected far better management and enforcement of basic guest policies. While the front desk was polite, the lack of effective action completely ruined what should have been a relaxing stay.
