Great to support a new, local, family business! We were there during their first weekend open, and they were so friendly. They told us all about their family, and how they came together to open the restaurant. The food was fresh, and flavourful. Reasonable prices and good portions. Will definitely be back Food: 5/5

We ordered chicken plate and beef plate. The food in general is fresh. Some interesting items than other shawarma place. The salad is better than other places. The flavor was not as strong as shawarma palace. But it’s not a negative thing. Its not as greasy. It’s a very small local place so the service is a bit slow, but it’s understandable and it’s nice to support local business. The size and the price are around the same like all other shawarma places in town.

Has to be among the top shawarma places in Ottawa. A family friendly restaurant with an excellent service and behaviour. For the food its a value for money. With this price and portion a hard to beat. Lots of flavour, fresh, moist and consistent. Highly recommend.

This is a must visit place, it’s an experience that you don’t expect. The service, the design, the people, the food…. Absolutely everything is on point! You have to try this place, I was hesitant thinking how could this be a perfect 5 star place. Now I know why. Thank you for the meal!

The food was amazing. I asked for potatoes instead of rice. Everything was amazing and fresh! Much better than Emperor Shawarma.

I just had my first chicken sandwich from Shawarma Al Mouna and it will for sure not be my last! Moe and Judy are a lovely couple, they take great pride in their restaurant space and their product, and it shows. The chicken was tender and flavourful, the veggies crisp and fresh, and to all you fellow garlic lovers, their garlic sauce is mouth watering! Just the right amount of garlicky kick! ; The restaurant is clean and inviting. The many planters gifted to them upon their grand opening from friends & family are lovingly displayed in the dining area. Moe will humbly yet proudly tell you he made the dining room furniture himself, and installed the front counter paneling - a man of many talents! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will be back as often as possible. This is exactly the sort of local business you feel good about supporting. Bravo, Moe and Judy! Super friendly owner, and a sandwich that counts as one of the best I had in the city! Great salad options also. Beware the payment terminal isn't working just yet but the restaurant is just getting started and will surely make itself be known as a great address for Shawarma

Rely nice, fresh shawarma. I'll admit the garlic is not strong enough for me! I would also say there is a tad less meat per sandwich. All of this said, still a great offering. Owners are very down to earth.

Just tried AL Mouna for the first time tonight and it’s hands down the best chicken shawarma in the city. The toppings were so fresh and grilled to the perfect crunch. On top of it all, the staff was so friendly and welcoming!! 10/10 will go back!
