Hi everyone, I saw an ad on instagram about this restaurant, I headed there only to try the iraqi Qas beef shawarma in Samon bread which was greaand authentic. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Price is not bad for the portion. Will visit again to try more items.

Ottawa’s obsession with shawarma is starting to pay off as we see more and more diversity in it, Mawlood serves up Iraqi shawarmas, and it’s quite a different experience.  How is it different? Well, it’s served in an Iraqi bread though you can also opt for a regular pita, and it has none of the garlic sauce or pickled veggies or fries in it. I tried the beef shawarma, and the meat took center stage to the experience. What made the meat stand out though, was how full of flavour and fat it was. If you like rendered fat dropping off your meat, you will absolutely love this. I do, and I really enjoyed it. It’s topped with some red onions, tomatoes and bbq sauce.  So, is it an instant hit? I guess it’ll depend. I think this style works for people who really enjoy meat and want the flavour of meat to dominate the experience. Personally, I enjoyed it. It was too big for me to finish, but yeah, I’d definitely go again.  PS: Also, it’s not on the menu, but ask for their Iraqi black tea. It’s simple, but brewed to perfection. Just the way I like.  Oh yeah, I also tried the wings with honey garlic sauce. It’s not the best wings I’ve had, but it’s actually pretty good. And for the price? Superb.  Lastly, they’ve got limited seating, but the two tables by the large window are a very pleasant place to be.

I tried thier food is one of the best restaurants i tried in my life and tgey have the best service the family are so friendly definitely will go back with my family  Vegetarian options: Falal salad taboulia vegitarian pizza  Kid-friendliness: Yes the place can accommodate the kids need and wants

This restaurant opened only a couple weeks ago. Tried their Family Platter today. Delicious Iraqi Shawarma. Fresh and flavorful food. Great customer service. Pro Tips: ask your shawarma sandwich to be made with Saj Bread. It will cost a bit extra, but much better than regular bread.

Travel to Ottawa late at night looking for something to eat, surprisingly find this high-rated restaurant. Great late-night comfort food. Although it’s a newly opened restaurant, the food is soooo GOOD! The owner even let us tried a bit of beef sharwama, the recipe is from his Mom, it’s unique and delicious, we will definitely have it next time! The Honey Garlic flavor and the Hot flavor wings are amazing! The breading is just right, and both sauces are spot-on The fries come with a bit of a salty flavor and are in great portions  Clean restaurant with A+++ service, and the taste is worth 5 stars! Which is impressive! Hope all guys could come and enjoy the delicious. It is worth supporting!

The kubba portion was amazing only for 2.5$ and the iraqi shawarma was so tasty. Fair prices for amazing food.Food: 5/5

Very friendly Staff I have tried "Gass" wich is Iraqian beef shawarma , the taste is really authentique and different . and if you want a stronger taste ask to add some roasted lard. The bread is also special called "Samoon Bread"  Kebba Mousiliya, maybe this is the only place where you can find it in Ottawa, it was really different than the regular kebba and tasty  Lamb skewer was really delicious as well,  they really knows from where pick quality meat to spoil the customer  They do also have some Iraqian specialities to try out. You must give it try !

I’m a bit picky with food but this place did not fail. I loved the food and the service. Nicest and kindest owners. I’m so glad I tried it  Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetables options  Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available

We had the pizza and it was just amazing. The topings were fresh , the chicken was flavourful , the dough was the perfect bake. Definitely coming back to try the rest .

I love this place!!! The food is always fresh and the service is great no matter what time you come. Try the different types of bread they offer, it will blow your mind. And they are open until 3am, great late night snack and the prices can't be beat.Food: 5/5
