I've seen the other location in passing but I didn't know they had a location inside The Hudson. My boyfriend recommended this place when I threw my back out this morning so I'm very thankful he suggested giving this place a try. All of the staff were hospitable and took the time to bring the food to us we're seated almost halfway in the public market, making sure we have all the condiments needed. With the food and my pain medication finally kicking in, I feel fresh as a daisy to conquer the day.
This breakfast made our day! Everything is perfect about this place: location, interior, coffee, service, and food. OMG! Even though it may seems that there are not a lot of options to choose from, all of them are very different and you will totally find yours. My avocado toast was not only very tasty, but also incredibly nutritious. If we ever come back to Victoria, this will be our Breakfast Place! Thank you guys! You ROCK!
Shatterbox is awesome! The staff are so friendly and everything is so good. Vegan and gluten free options are great, no idea about drinks as I didn’t try any. The vegan option for the benny is really good! The chocolate espresso beans are delicious.
This place was great for a quick pick me up with espresso that packs a punch. I find half the places serve coffee that doesn’t have a strong enough flavour, but that wasn’t the case here. I ordered their oat milk cortado and it was creamy, but strong - had great flavour. Price was also reasonable, around $4. Staff was nice, it’s a shame that I went when they were near closing. They also sold a handful of vegan products.
Great coffee of course as the reviews say, but a few places have good coffee. What sets Shatterbox apart is the new inviting open space with places to sit/get some work done, the incredible healthy and good food which very few cafes offer, and the personal service both the owners and staff are always friendly. As someone who is too lazy to cook I can survive off them until 5pm at least!
Was given the wrong meal but they corrected it immediately and offered a treat on the house while waiting for my Wanda waffle. Really appreciated the gestures and the food was spectacular and worth the extra wait. The potatoes were so good! I would have loved to try the regular eggs Benny but I didn’t see any options for just the classic ham,egg,sauce on an English muffin. Regardless, I look forward to returning and trying other meals! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options, since each meal is made to order they can probably omit certain restrictions if needed
Cute cafe with a mini grocery store vibe which allows for you to eat lunch and pick up some items for a nice healthy dinner. The many great frozen prepped meals are nice for a quick meal that taste great. Their espresso is nice and sweet and reminds me of some good times. Would highly recommend trying the food.Food: 5/5
This place has so much to offer. Coffee shop, restaurant, and delicatessen all in one spot. In my opinion, best drip in town. Real dark coffee flavour, not fruity at all. Their soups are vegan friendly, well priced and most importantly, delicious. Im devouring a bowl of the lemon artichoke right now.
Incredible spot. Amazing food and coffee. Friendly service. Joey, their chef is outstanding, and will go out of his way to make something for you even if it’s off the menu or it seems like their out of certain ingredients. Highly recommend.
We drive from the Wedtshore to this cozy and friendly coffee shop on the weekends because their in house eco friendly roasted coffee is all I will drink now. Chef Joey is outstanding with his breakfast and brunch creations and I am continuously wowed by each meal! They offer a "soup flight" which is genius for when you can't decide on what soup to each, you can try three! Love this place! They are gluten friendly, as a celiac, I have never had an issue with any of their GF items, which are many and exceptionally delicious.
