Was in the area and saw they had a small selection on the menu, so decided to give them a try, we ordered the mixed barbecue. Taste 0.5/1* Restaurant with limited selections usually means specialized and can expect good food, though we thought this place was just slightly above mediocre. Chicken was nice and tender, beef was basically a meatball made into skewer, wife liked it, she also enjoyed the lamb where I had the drier pieces. Highlight for me was probably the cold slaw, and Naan for the wife, naan was house made and more puffy than others. Went home happy!! Those platters were excellent! The lamb was so tender! Chicken Tikka was well marinated! I just don’t like drinking in a plastic cup.Food: 4/5

I initially thought the quantity was going to be a little too small but it turned out to be sufficient, especially since they also serve some complimentary bread while you wait for your food. We ordered the chicken shawarma platter as well as the chicken kabab platter. I personally thought the chicken shawarma was very oily but still tasty. But the chicken kabab was much better. The garlic sauce complimented the food quite well. Service was top notch as well!

A hidden and halal gem in Surrey. So great. The family platter is plenty for 6 people. Maybe good for a very, very hungry 4 people. The lamb and kebab were tender, flavourful and delicious. The variety of rice - biryani and saffron rice - makes the family platter so worth it. It was paired with some grilled tomatoes. Yum! I consider myself the sauce boss, and I’ll be back just for hummus and baba ganoush. Really enjoyed the experience, felt homely and comfortable. The service was great and friendly.

I ordered thr famous chicken curry and chicken kebab plate which comes with rice , bread and salad as well. The taste was mild to our taste buds however chicken was really tender and well cooked. They just add curry on top of kebab to mar it as a curry plate. Both are almost same. Bread is served with a dip which is good as well. Price is around 35 for both and the portion is huge. Enough for 2.5 big Guys.

Back again and again! We had a group dine in which was great. Reservation was honored and preordered food was on time once we arrived. Great delicious food. We had lamb kabsa and family platters. I saw this restaurant at the surrey Festival. Wasn't able to try their food due to the long line up. Today, i went after my work to the restaurant to take out and try the food. Order 2 mixed grill and one chicken and one beef. The food was very delicious, and the portions were good enough to fill up. meat soft and juicy. Rice delicious humus nice bread was bonus, the owner is gently man smiling and very helpful. If you haven't tried this place yet, you must. I highly recommend this place. price reasonable. I'll definitely be a regular customer, and I will invite all my family and friends there. Thank you, the best halal food in town.

Hidden gem, accidentally found it n became my favorite. They make there own bread in house. Food is fresh n amazing, the kebab are so juicy n lamb shank no words. Their is only one server but she is attentive and polite. Guys do try n give them business.Recommended dishesLamb Shank

This restaurant is a pleasant discovery. We were looking for a kebab place to try and we are glad we found Shahrayar. We tried the take out and it was good so we decided to dine in. The interior is big with lots of seating. They have a bakery adjacent to the restaurant where they make fresh pita bread. We were served with fresh warm bread off their bakery with tzatziki which is quite tasty. The quantity of food is very generous and presentation is really nice. We ordered lamb shank and BBQ mix platter. The taste exceeds expectation. Over all price is worth what you are getting. If you want to order the fish or oven chicken, we were told to call a day in advance. Highly recommended. Parking: There are few parking slots available. I am not sure if it gets full but we were able to get a spot at two different times.
