Pat was very nice and a good host and a good check in but to pay 50 dollars each after a 2 for 1 coupon presented is so high as rates go and based on condition of course. Two bridges being fixed and not enough "this way" to next hole markers leave you guessing at times where to go to next. Plus on a Saturday there was not one maintenance crew there anywhere working and a couple greens had a ton of leaves and other tree debris all over greens. Greens were fast but well maintained but hard to figure directions to cup, that part just me perhaps. This course should NOT be 100 dollars each with cart to play! $75 at very most. 2.5 out of 5 but no allowance to type in 2 1/2 stars off here. ***This review above was from 4 yrs ago. New review...Oct 16/22 course play day date... Greens were spot on and price was right. The tee boxes for the most part need a whole lot of TLC and good attention as so many were so beat up and unseeded and then if much better condition wise...5 stars! This is great course we’ll maintained. Compares well to all other courses in the area. It is more challenging than most so you need to bring your good game. The T boxes need leveling off but that’s just me, I like a level area too T off from. I am always bringing friends here because it’s a great value. It’s challenging for my friends who have low handicaps. Thanks
Love this course! Definitely a challenge with the creek crossing the course, making some narrower fairways and meandering in front of some of the greensalong with some of my golf balls! Greens are a little tough, but be creative and enjoy your outdoor activity! Great views from the deck of the clubhouse for the 19th hole for refreshments! Friendly staff tops the experience!
3 generations golfed at Shadow today! Grandpa 94 Me My son and his gal We're a bit slower and everyone was so patient and kind. The course is stunning! And crazy airplane traffic overhead. Thanks for a great 9 holes!!!
This was the first visit to Shadow Ridge. We enjoyed the course and will definitely golf there again. They had just 'punted' the greens so they were a bit sandy and the balls didn't roll exactly the way we would have liked however we still enjoyed it!
First of all, kudos for the continuing improvements to the greens. They were surprisingly fast when I last played on September 23rd and the ones that had not been recently aerated rolled very well. The ongoing improvements to the fairways is also very noticeable. In addition to continuing to work on the patchy spots on the fairways and rough, I'm hoping the next priorities for improvements will be the following: a the fringes and rough/bald areas surrounding the greens, particularly between the greens and green-side bunkers; b the tee boxes - some are extremely crowned or bumpy; c drinking water - there should be at least one water re-fill station near the middle of each nine - I realize this is a potential insurance issue but other courses in the area have found a way to provide this and I hope Shadow Ridge will be no different next July & August. Keep up the good work!
An older style course. Fun with narrow fairways. Some water canals and ponds. Course management is a must. I easily walked the course. No driving range. Not much of a putting green. Less expensive than most Kelowna courses.
Love playing here. Very walkable, with lots of willow trees for needed shade on those hot days. Greens are in terrific shape, and putt very well. There is enough water and hazards to make you think about club selection. Some long holes making bogie a pretty good score. Very friendly pro shop staff. Terrific value for your dollar. I recommend this course to everyone.
Enjoy the course. Good variety of holes. Great value. Sand is a little sparse in places and, due to required heavy watering in these hot dry times, the wet sand makes recovery somewhat difficult. The staff are great, from the front desk, the restaurant and the groundskeeping. The restaurant is comfortable and clan. However, the quality of food overall has diminished from it's previous excellent quality.
Worst pace of play, 5 1/2hrs to play 18 holes, no Marshall to speed things up.
