Other than hole 9 from the front nine, it's pretty easy for a skilled golfer. No elevation and not many traps, so good to get off any rust. As a beginner, the course works for me. Grounds are better taken care of then the other executive course Mission. Make sure you put on bug spray though during mosquito season and be careful of flying balls as some holes overlap each other. Overall, good value for your money. We did 9 holes for $26 and finished in about 2 hours.
New ownership has made this facility AMAZING! The chef there cares about what he serves & it shows—the food is WOW. I have been coming here for the past few years, & the big difference compared to years past is the service. Apparently a local family has taken over Michaelbrook & they ALL work together to make a memorable experience on the all around. Our dining room server Brenda was prompt , professional & and had us smiling & laughing the entire meal. I guess her sister and uncles own the golf course & their kids work there as well! Nice small course with very friendly people!
Our foursome had an incredible Saturday at Michaelbrook. The course is in amazing shape and great value for the price point. We also enjoyed the addition of a beverage cart to the course. After our round, we got a table outside and ordered ribs, chicken burger, fish and chips, and a loaded hamburger, washed down with 4 Long Island Iced Teas. The food was of highest quality, and delicious. Servers were attentive and personable. We will definitely be returning this summer. Bravo!
Great golf course. Well maintained. Fun course, not too hard, not too many bunkers, not too much water, long greens. Great scenery, clean golf carts. Check out the pro shop for some great souvenirs like the birdie babe ball marker, lol! Thanks, this will be our go to course when we're in Kelowna!
This is a good course overall, and a good difficulty level for beginners for the most part, especially with minimal sand and water traps. However, some tee boxes are very close to other greens and fairways, which does become a bit of a hazard if you’re a player that is still working on their accuracy. The grounds are well taken care of, the course is visually quite nice, and the price is great. My biggest issue with this course is that there are only 2 bathrooms, which are in the clubhouse, and in a small building at the other end of the course. This means that bathrooms are basically inaccessible for around 14 of 18 holes. I think the course should strongly consider getting a few portable bathrooms set up in between, especially since this is a sport that is often played while enjoying some beverages.
New new review and now 5 stars finally! May 30/22... The young guy server is just so top notch excellent! We were there the other day again and he is easily one of the best servers in all of Kelowna! So polite, so engaging, so friendly! Please thank him for us! I tipped him huge too! My 1 star review below was for 2020 and 2019 and now since some new caring owners are in place, and cause the super awful Tom has left, he sold course finally!!, my new review from today and being there to enjoy the updated patio and some nice new features, especially the nice new signage, has now moved up to 4 stars! I hope to move it to 5 but Tom banned me from the course for just being honest ONLY with the awful tee boxes I noted and terrible overall condition of course in 2019 and 2020 and I did not go there in 2021! I could not believe as well while I was golfing that they chopped down a very large tree while I was playing that fairway! All legit to just give an honest review and not be banned! I could not believe it one day in late season 2020 when I ventured in to try and play and to be told Tom had banned me! I never had been banned form anywhere else ever in my life! I look forward to playing there again...? If not in the old computer as still a "Tom ban!" ??? Geez!!!!!! Former reviews below... Because of the review I made in 2019, a very detailed and honest one to the point, I was banned from playing this course by the egomaniac owner TOM! I always have liked the restaurant side of Michaelbrook as always good food for so many years and good friendly service on the patio and in the restaurant and have until last yr been dining here and at times playing here for over a decade. I could not believe it when I gave my name in at pro shop last late Fall and to be told I was BANNED by the owner from golfing here! Here is that review below...that got me banned because of pure honesty!...

Love the course, love the staff, love the food. The course slightly favors lefties like me but good cheap fun all around.
The younger gentlemen named Cody in the pro shop was awesome and very helpful, however the older gentleman didn't get his name was horrible. my friend and I were golfing with our two girlfriends, who are beginners, and the old gentleman made them both feel very uncomfortable. He made a few comments about their butts even though what they were wearing was perfect golf attire. He made us feel very rushed even though the group behind us wasn't waiting on us once. he also had something smart to say every time we walked into the pro shop which made us feel very unwelcome, which is a shame because none of us will EVER go back to the course to play again simply because of this one older gentlemen that ruined our perfect day for golf. If you don't support old men making young woman feel uncomfortable and anxious for trying to learn how to play golf, I highly suggest going to ANY COURSE OTHER THAN THIS ONE. Edit: what a change after the new owners have taken over this golf course. My review has been edited because I now would certainly recommend this golf course for beginners. My original issues have been put to rest and I’m very happy with the changes that have been made.
