I called Amherst to change the locks for my condo. Once completed, I asked that we check to make sure that the new key works in the main and garage entrances into the building. The locksmith indicated that he had already checked, but I insisted. We checked and the keys did not work. I requested the keys be changed so they would work in all entrances and he said he would have to come back. We set up a time for the next day. The time was not honoured, in fact, it was changed again two times leaving me waiting four hours for the second day in a row due to their error. When I advised the company of my frustration, they merely said that they work within a 'time window' for appointments and are not able to do anything more than that. Efficiency, professionalism and attention to detail are not to be expected from this company.

I got many keys done there and got great service to replace a defective lock bought elsewhere.

Expect to pay double the price!!  Call anywhere else. 

On top of that, the guy didn't ask for any proof that it was my place.  He even thought I was a renter (he recommended checking if the landlord had a key) and was still changing the locks for me anyway! 

Really sketchy place.
