Selkirk Lodge @ Schweitzer Mountain Resort

I had the fortune to go on a slower day. We received great service and great food. We were told by regular patrons that the skyhouse is usually packed this time of year. Since it was a slow day, we got nice window seats and our meal arrived in a flash. The food was good and priced at what you would expect food on top of a mountain to cost.

Always an awesome place to stay when I'm up on the mountain. I have been staying with them for over six years now. I usually don't stay in the hotel, but in one of the many condominiums they rent out on the mountain. The cabins that they offer to rent out are always top notch and well taken care. The prices vary between them but is always fairly priced given the location. The cabins are extremely spacious and will definitely be enough room to fit an entire family or group of friends looking to stay on the mountain and have a private location to stay a after a day of skiing. The cabins/ condos usually average about 2,000 square feet and have an average of 3-4 bedrooms. They all have access to the Selkirk pool and hot tubs, many condos have their own private hot tub and mud room. Most places have an area to wax and tunes the skis/snowboards for the next day of skiing. I have found that although some cabins are not directly ski in/ ski out they are located close to Musical Chairs and only a short walk, no need to drive up to the mountain.

I absolutely loved snowboarding for the first time on Schweitzer I think it's the happiest I've ever been. it's so relaxing just trailing down the mountain seeing the snow come up every so often and then sitting down watching the view for a little. The best part about the hill is going back up, although I'm afraid of heights it's super smooth and nice. Gotta say it was a great time. the food in the lodge is really great. I suggest the double bacon cheeseburger. the bacon is absolutely mouth watering. 10/10 experience can't wait to go again.

It was really nice, but the price for food was very inflated, as expected for a ski lodge at the top of a mountain. My noodle bowl looked really good, but it could have used more flavor or spice as it was a tad bland. Great view. I'm glad they put a lodge up there, it's convenient to not have to ride a chair lift to hit the slopes after enjoying a warm meal and stunning view. Apparently you aren't allowed to bring your own food though, so be expecting to spend at least $20 on a meal for 1.

Location is unbeatable - right in the heart of the village. Hotel staff was all friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit older looking, but were large and comfortable. Nice place to stay!
