My fiancee and I were looking for a mattress and our first choice was to go to the Sears home decor store. Big mistake if you are looking for customer service. We found a mattress and we were already to buy it and be on our way. The only problem was it would appear that everyone in the store was preoccupied with other matters such as watching youtube videos and talking amongst themselves. We stood by one of the customer service desk and had employees walk by looking at us and others looking at us from afar. No one offered to help so we left and went to the sears in champlain mall and recieved service as soon as we walked through the door. I will not return to sears home decor in moncton and will be spending my money elsewhere for now on!

Be prepared.....if you call Sears at Trinity in Moncton...the automated telephone directory is horrible. You can barely, and I mean barely hear the computerized voice directing you to press this number or that number. Twice I ended up talking to people in Ontario who couldn't connect be back to New Brunswick and why should they. When, on the fourth call, I finally did get a real person, she was extremely helpful and told me the phone directory is a regular complaint. Her manager has been informed but nothing has been done! I guess a few notes of this kind may help what is a competitive industry. I feel sorry for the seniors in this city who rely on Sears because of its history and convenience. Even though they are charged a fee for just trying something on, or hanging it on the wall, some have no choice but to use Sears because of its convenience. Please get the phone service fixed. I do tend to talk a lot and have no problem discussing this at my work. Thank you.

It seems Sears has recently subcontracted their service contact center to some Asian company (India maybe?) - and unfortunately, it was not for the better. Not only are the contact persons difficult to understand due to their difficulty with English, often the phone connection is so bad that it's near impossible to hear them. I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone trying to explain to the contact person that I needed a service technician to fix my gas dryer. Seems simple, right? Wrong. I actually had to spell out g-a-s d-r-y-e-r before he understood what I wanted. So after spending all this time making sure he understood what does he do? He tries to sell me a dishwasher cleaning product! In the end, the technician didn't show up on the day he was supposed to, because the contact person had screwed-up the work order. From now on, I'll only be buying from stores that have a local contact number for service (i.e. Alpha Electric, Lounsbury's or Leon's).
