Sears Department Store

It's sad to see this place going out of business. Many fond childhood memories and Craftsman tools from when they still had quality and selection. It's also hard to believe that a single person, my own mother, managed to keep Sears in business all these years. She recently got an amazon account and once the Sears executives caught wind of this, they immediately filed for bankruptcy.

Worst customer service ever. My credit card was charged June 2016 for a Sears Advantage coupon book. I called the service centre to ask for a refund, because I did not agree to purchase the coupon book (I have since cancelled that credit card so that Sears can't charge me for anything else). The service centre told me to wait until I receive the book in the mail and then to return the book at the store. When I FINALLY got the book in September 2016, I went to the store to get a refund for the book. The store took back the book, and told me to request my refund from the service centre. The service centre promised me that a cheque was being sent for my refund and would arrive in a few weeks. It has never arrived. I've called about once a month since October 2016 to check on the status of that mysterious cheque. I keep getting told that the cheque is making its way. It's kind of funny now, since I'm coming up to the one year anniversary of Sears illegally charging me, I thought I'd celebrate by sharing this story with the world. Moral of the story - Sears will not honour refunds. The ship is clearly sinking.

There is a reason Sears is going to close its doors. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE! My husband ordered a vacuum boxing week. We called and cancelled the order two weeks later because it hadn't shipped. They have just charged our VISA for the item, well over a month later. When my husband returned a belt, instead of refunding his money they said they had to ship it back to the warehouse first. This was also boxing week. We still haven't received the refund.

Some of the staff are the nicest people in the world ! Other half ......... anyways people are so quick to judge. Please don't judge a book by its cover.
