We bought a 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch cabinet grade plywood for $72 dollars, before tax. After it was stained, we realized there were 3 knots that had been filled with filler. The stain cannot be soaked into the filler, which is a beige colour that looks awful. This is cabinet grade now. Heads up cabinet makers!

This review is for Damon, only person I want helping us at this location. He is amazing, thorough and follows up on everything. He picked my colour of the kitchen after my 2nd attempt of failing and I absolutely love it!! This guy deserves a raise, thank you for everything! Place has lots of stuff you can't find in other places. One small thing, they should dust the shelves once in a while.

Consistently, HORRIBLE customer service. Called the store to get pricing and was put on hold every time I asked a question. The girl had no clue. Was given incorrect product pricing and then given attitude when I challenged the pricing. Was cut off verbally and then put on hold again. Called back twice and the man I spoke to was just a rude if not more, because I was unsure what he was asking me. Another visit I was there to purchase and pick up wood previously ordered. Was given yet again wrong pricing then refunded then charged again wrong pricing and refunded and then charged again. Then they loaded wrong product all together. When I challenged this and was correct in the end. The same girl in the example above was rude instead of apologizing for what had happened. The customer service department needs a major overhaul and the staff that need to retire need to go and the existing staff need major training in the products they sell and how to go about selling them. Trying to keep it local is pretty damn hard when the customer service is so bad... Id rather pay the $40 delivery fee and order directly from the manufacturer in the city! Schell Sutton you just lost a huge customer! The owner of this store should be embarrassed!

I always have a good laugh with all the staff when in. Exceptional service last time I went in with my three kids picking colours of paint for their bedrooms. The helpful staff made sure I had everything to get the job done and even explained how they make the colour with all the dyes to my kids which they loved.

Shell lumber in Sutton has a great staff, very friendly helpful makes it easier when you have questions and they know how to answer your questions. Thank you for your help keep up the great work

We bought a Christmas gift for someone and needed to exchange it for a different style. Even though it was past the 6 week "return time", Cheryl and the others at Schell were very compassionate and accommodating and kindly agreed to take it back. There are very few stores that would ever do this and I deeply appreciate them being so "human" about it. In my experience, many managers and companies are very "robotic" and would simply say "no". Thank you for being so helpful.
