Came late, guest were arriving while they were setting up. Food was good, but not outstanding, but that’s minor for sure. The worse issue I had with them was that we ran out of bacon and scallops and they had a pan full that they didn’t cook and were taking away with them and actually were taking much of the uneaten food. Until I spoke up and asked if they would be discounting it off the bill they said no we will just throw it out. Now why would you not have said, there is a lot of food left, what would you like us to do with it? We had to scrabble to get all the uneaten food from their dishes to our own. Even the guests had to help.
I got a lobster roll from here as part the picnic lunch package to George's Island and it was horrible. Terrible dry and untoasted bread, bad lobster, they even put some lone greens on the ends of the roll because there was barely any lobster in it. Do not buy the lobster picnic if you take the George's Island ferry.
The food is always delightful, but the five star review is a result of the quality of service, the appreciation for culinary excellence, and constant evolution to better serve their clientele and thriving to be the best. They are extremely knowledgeable and passionate in their industry and it is evident at every level of their operation.
Always fresh and always fun! The pride and experience behind the food prep is like no other. The ingredients are not skimped out on and local food used is top quality. I would recommend Scanway to a business, wedding venue or family gathering!
Fantastic food! Some of the best food I’ve had East of Montreal! Amazing service and great people! You can tell they can truly care about the product they are preparing! A must for any and all of your catering needs!
The picnic basket was delicious and plenty of food for 2 or 3. Highly recommend.
Since the pandemic started in March of 2020, I immediately starting to use Scanway. Their meals are absolutely delicious, affordable and so well presented, and the ordering and delivery was top notch. Their website is easy to maneuver and the pictures of their meals both on Facebook and Instagram are a true reflection of what you get. Their special menus for Easter and Mother’s Day were excellent. I have referred them to many friends and they too have enjoyed all their meals. I have and will be ordering regularly as I have so enjoyed every meal. Desserts are to die for.
