Say It With Cake!

Marcella helped us with our wedding cupcakes in less then 10 days! She was absolutely amazing to work with and the cupcakes were SO delicious, we received so many compliments, I highly highly recommend Marcella and Say it with Cake!

I am absolutely thrilled with the wedding cake that was made and designed by Marcella, Say It With Cake, for my son's wedding on May 15th, 2016 at the Guelph Arboretum. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, moist and delicious. We chose a French Vanilla with maple butternut cream filling and fondant icing. Our guests were delighted and impressed, several of whom are excellent chefs themselves. The wedding was a woodland/Elven theme and the cake was perfect with silk dogwood flowers and silk trilliums running up the sides of the three tiers, and topped with a heirloom basket vase filled with silk Hyacinths and Baby's Breath, sitting on a wooden tree base and surrounded by silk woodland flowers. The cake was perfectly enchanting and magical and my Daughter in Law was delighted. I would also like to mention that due to a serious dairy allergy that Marcella created this cake without any milk products and it was perfect. I truly enjoyed the interaction with Marcella, she was professional, friendly and accommodating and since I live on the east side of Toronto most of our communication were via email and on the phone. I certainly appreciated her patience and creativity in planning the right design and I knew I could trust her words. The cake was delivered and set up a couple hours before the ceremony and I knew I didn't have anything to worry about. I found Marcella, Say It With Cake via Google 'wedding cakes Guelph' search. I had a few others I emailed for a quote but either they could not make a cake without dairy and/or didn't return the email. Thank you so much Marcella for sharing your talent and being part of this very special day in my son's life.

I have had several amazing experiences with Say It With Cake. The owner makes cakes that are both gorgeous and delicious, she is very talented. It was a pleasure to have Say It With Cake make my graduation cup-cakes. They were so cute, made in my school colours blue with hand-made fondant flowers and diplomas. I was blown away by the detail and skill. Thanks Say It With Cake! I can't wait for my next order!

This business has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced! My fiance and I were quoted $280 for a moderately complex cake which had 1 faux tier and was to be decorated with flowers which we had to provide along with the cake stand, then $330 for a slightly more complex cake which had large fondant ruffles, which then somehow went up to $350 for simply adding some pink dye detailing on the top edges of the fondant layers around the cake. Then when we chose a basic buttercream design which should have been less than the original $280 quote, the quote given to us was $300. WHAT THE HELL?? COMPLETELY OUT OF WHACK quoting, and this woman throws in the towel with no negotiation whatsoever when her quotes aren't even fair or reasonable and don't have any logic to them. She also wanted to upcharge on every little item. A crappy raspberry "infused" buttercream flavour was to cost more than basic vanilla buttercream. When all was said and done, my fiance and I are so happy we didn't go with this business - SO GLAD we didn't settle! We found an amazing business in Kitchener called The Cake Box, and they are making our dream cake for much less than this woman was trying to charge us and that includes a separate flavour for each tier!!, and their repetoire excels that of this business by far! I wish I could pay people NOT to go to this business just to avoid the HORRIBLE customer service we had to experience. People associated with the business are giving 5 star reviews but don't be fooled by that or the biased reviews she plasters on her website! Look at the Yelp reviews - we're not the only disappointed ones! STAY AWAY!!

My fiancee and I were looking for a wedding cake and we stumbled upon this business after searching on the internet. From the get go, she wasn't very accomodating...We asked for a quote based on a design that we saw, and she quoted an astronomical price for the design and there were upcharges on each little item which was nickel and diming beyond belief - when we tried to set a reasonable price she declined to do it flag #1 - I should have known better...then we tried to quote a VERY simplistic cake design essentially a white cake and WE had to provide extras such as flowers, and had to arrange for a cake stand...and the price barely budged - I tried to simply negotiate $40 down and I was willing to pull the trigger...and she declined. Horrible customer service, not accomodating, upcharging on many fronts, and overall a very very very bad experience. STAY AWAY!!!!!! trust me, you'll thank yourself!
