I was in the first 100 members of this campground and I always had such fun there. It has really evolved and grown into an awesome place to visit especially on holiday weekends. You'll always meet interesting people and there is quite a lot to do. Fun exciting place. Highly recommend.
We just got back from a 3 day - 2 night - stay at Sawmill. We had a great time. We were there We’d night and Thurs night and left Friday morning. Since it was our first time and not knowing what to expect, we thought we would go during the week but be there leading up to the weekend. We were very pleased with the cleanliness. Sheets and towels passed out test. The pool area was clean and organized as well as the grounds that we saw. We had a bit of pre-visit communications with the office staff and they were so nice and helpful. We ate every meal at the pool side restaurant and was very pleased with the food and prices. FYI - pancakes on the breakfast menu were almost as good as what you find at Cracker Barrel. The bartenders - Ace, Simeon, and David were all so nice and friendly. Just awesome. And the handmade Long Islands were very smooth. I don’t do the premix stuff. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and met some really nice guys. We will be returning again soon. And yes, what we saw was that the whole property was pretty much available for clothing optional. Which was something I enjoyed.
Tried visiting with 3 friends on Sunday afternoon. We were told that membership fee was $50. We then asked if they had a day pass but we’re told that there was no such thing as a day pass. We left and but called back after speaking with friend that’s a frequents visitor. When we called back after reading the website and asked the same questions during our original visit , we were then told that the membership fee was $50, and $25 day pass also different from what the website posts. We asked other questions and the answers were drastically different from what we were told in person. The responses were drastically different from those to me and my three other black male friends. Maybe the website needs to be clear as to who and which patrons are charged what. Do better, Sawmill.
I had high hopes for this place but it wasn't the kind of camping or glamping rather, that I had expected. I took my dog and wish I hadn't because the entire place is kind of gravel rock. The room was just, I don't know. It left little to be desired. It was outdated, old, and small Most of the other guests were super nice and I'm at one bartender that was awesome but it just wasn't my crowd. I wouldn't say don't go check it out unless it's a really long drive or something but check it out for yourself I think there's something there for everybody and had the room been nicer and had I not brought my dog, I would have stayed longer than 1 night.
Beautiful clothing optional LGBTQ+ campgrounds with spots for RVs and tents. Love that this safe space is available for the community to gather and have all kinds of fun. Ladies weekend is the best!! The performers through the weekend are phenomenal!!
I thought everyone showed much respect and Their love . I think anyone who is down and out Saw mill is the place to come to uplift your spirit with the compassion of a good since of humor and fun of laughter. As a visitor I really enjoy my stay and looking forward for a good time again.
Pricey $50 for a membership. $15 for a day pass. $15 for chicken tenders and fries. Were actually balls of batter with one small discernible chicken tender. Unable see any of the shows cause the place was so packed I couldn't even get in the doors. Nothing provided but toilet paper in the stalls. The only thing to do besides swim in the pool was to walk a small nature trail with unfriendly men walking around, that's it. After paying $80, I don't feel like I got anymore value then just going to a park. I have come here on and off since 2012 and it has become quite a disappointment. Feel like it was a waste of my time and money
Very nice relaxing spot very friendly staff great drinks plenty of activities to keep you entertained
What can I say… is one of my favorite spots to go camping. From checking experience to entertainment I’m always impressed. Residents are welcoming, staff is helpful and all the fun is just icing on the cake.
3 of us came from Lakeland to enjoy day passes. We arrived at 10:15 and were told at gate that we couldn't get in until 11:00, because it allows residents to enjoy the pool before visitors. I can understand a 8:00 or 9:00 check in , but 11:00??? Come on Sawmill, you sell day passes for $15.00 but can't enjoy the day. You lost $45.00 on passes, two membership renewals, food and drinks for 3. Oh well, I guess you don't need our money..hummm. Seems to me you all have gotten a little to persnickety...
