nice place to stay! laundry and showers where great but there is only one set of them so if you are staying on the outskirts of the campground you have quite a walk through swarms of mosquitoes to get to the shower. very nice owner and well maintained camp

Privately-owned, quiet, out-of town, yet close to everything, easy access off Hiway 14, well-kept, clean, level gravel all big pull-through sites with nice grass all around and wooden patio area with picnic table, metal fire pit, full-service with 30/50 amp, limited WiFi, showers, laundry, beautiful sunsets. Generous owner donates space for Habitat for Humanity Care-A-Vanner workers. Do use this lovely park .... he deserves your business and you'll love it here 😃

The Sawmill is an incredible oasis in the beautiful countryside outside of Mankato. There are large farms and rolling hills of greenery and old growth trees. It is quiet and serene in the park, and surrounding areas. The park is only 12 minutes from any essential services and conveniences. There is good fishing, in any direction from the park, within 20-30 minutes drive. Mankato is a charming college town, and seems to embrace diversity.
Dennis Michaels, the Sawmill Campground owner, was so helpful and friendly. He works tirelessly day in and day out to improve the grounds, and to welcome campers. There is wi-fi available, but sometimes the service is slow. Bags of ice are available during regular business hours. The laundry facilities are small, but clean, and very fairly priced. The bathrooms are clean, and have showers available with plenty of hot water.
They are expanding at the Sawmill! I look forward to seeing what else they have in store for us next year!
