I wanted to give this place a 5 star! Family owned business and I want to give back. They were so sweet. I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile now. We mainly wanted appetizers and drinks and the food did not disappoint. Their alcohol selection is pretty much non existent. Only one beer on tap and yellow tail for wine. We opted out for wine for obvious reasons. Ha! We got some sake instead. Quick service and the main dishes looked promising when others were being served. Cute little quaint spot for a great meal!
Satay time! After coffee, walking around Greenwood found this Satay place. We just ordered Chicken Satay and nothing else. The chicken was perfect on the stick. The peanut sauce and the veggies in vinegar that came along with it was amazing. Good, friendly owners and staff. Street parking available for this restaurant. Will come back for more!
Our food was very flavorful with perfectly cooked steak and shrimp. The place was half empty, which ensured we got our dinner quickly! We’ll be back.
Live nearby thinking to try out this neighborhood restaurant. Service is great but the food is horrible. I ordered Thai tea and curry. The tea taste like syrup with water. Curry is also oddly sweet and watery. The potatoes in the curry is not even cooked. I have no idea how this place can be still open. The worst Thai food I’ve ever had in Seattle.
Let me put things this way: if I found Satay bar earlier on in the pandemic, I’d probably be out a lot more money right now. Cute little location on Phinney with ample parking. The place is run by a husband and wife duo from Thailand where they used to run a few other restaurants. They’re extremely kind and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your meal is excellent. I’ve tried about five different dishes, but my absolute favorite by far is the chicken pad thai. The sauce is very unique, nothing like other pad thai sauces I’ve tasted elsewhere. If you ask the duo, they’ll tell you that the sauce recipe comes from their time running a food cart in Thailand where they started including... ketchup. Yes, ketchup. It’s amazing. This place is lovely and run by lovely people. 100% recommend.
Visited here the second time, ordered the seafood delight yellow curry seafood. The taste is OK, but it still has the same issue as the before - some of the ingredients are not fresh. The calamari has been frozen for too long, I can definitely tell it is far from fresh. The scallops are so tiny they are hard to find. This restaurant tends to use none-fresh and cheap ingredients to save the costs. Small but tidy restaurant with great service. Tried the spicy eggplant with chicken, unfortunately the chicken is overcooked and far from fresh. I will probably give it another try for their good service.
I love this little spot! The owners/staff are super nice and you can see them cooking in the open kitchen. The drunken noodles are my favorite! You can place orders online for pick up at specific times which is really convenient.
Highly recommend for those who are looking for casual dinner. A cozy Thai restaurant located at the corner of the neighborhood. Staff was very friendly! We ordered the pad thai and the crispy chicken rice. The chicken satay skewers came in 4. Very flavorful food! Especially the pad thai. Will definitely come here again!!
This place is delicious. Super yummy. Nice people. Generous portions. And fast! We got takeout here a few times, will keep going back!
