One of best Indonesian foods in Seattle. The taste is authentic, the staff is friendly, the location is easy to find in U Distric popular area. They closed early at 5 PM. The first time we came at 4.30 PM but they didn't received any order. The next week, we need to wait our table approximately 20 minutes. I highly recommend the Soto Ayam. Definitely will back to try more menus Features: Closed at 5 PM
Cozy place to stop by in this area! See a lot cute decor all over the place in the first sight. Service: 10/10 friendly, food came out fast Hainan Chicken: 8/10 pretty good, however I think the seasoning is little weak Popcorn chickensorry no photos: 5/10 I think they use chicken breast instead of chicken thigh, which may be healthier consider of fat. However it tastes dry and not juicy at all. Plus, it tastes very plain. Need more seasoning. Fried Ice Cream vanilla: 7/10 it’s okay, outside shell not quite crispy. Overall: 8/10 and recommend.
I came here for lunch wanting chicken, so I ordered the lunch portion of the hainanese chicken. The food was piping hot and exactly what I needed after feeling run down from being sick. The amount of food was perfect for me, but may be a bit small for others. Not pictured, I also ordered the avocado smoothie and loved it for a sweet treat. Overall the food was delicious and tasted home-cooked, and the staff were extremely friendly and quick to clean up tables.

19jan2022 ~11:30 arrived to its "Closed" clock-sign diaplaying "be back 17:30" Google shows it Opens at 12:00. We went for a walk around the neighborhood .. atopped by Goodwill. Returned to Beetle Cafe at ~12:05 and it was still Closed .. a lil disappointed, but not a problem cos there are many other fine eateries around .. The 3-stars are for the Menu .. maybe next time can have a taste of the real food

I got the shaved ice. They were out of over half of their toppings and the ice was very coarse. Much better shaved ice at other places on the Avenue, but this was only $5!
Visited Seattle and looking for some "mie ayam", found this place next to Washington University and It's super cute! Craving satisfied Would love to go back and try other menus :
Had the hainan chicken rice and the mie tek tek. The hainan chicken was excellent, and some sauces were good. The rice definitely wasn’t up to par though as it was a little soggy. Mie tek tek was great. Would not recommend the popcorn chicken. I like the portion size; just enough without being too huge. Also my cup for water seemed a little dirty. The space is cute with interesting decor
