We were looking for Vietnamese food after we came out of the 50 St Costco and this restaurant was close by. Weren’t sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. We really enjoyed the food and the service was friendly and courteous. The restaurant is clean and tidy. All of us had a soup selection, we had spring rolls and green onion cake for appetizers and they were good. Overall we enjoyed our meal and wold recommend this restaurant for a good Vietnamese meal. The prices are reasonable.
Haven’t been living in edmonton long enough to figure out my surroundings or navigate my way, my phone was dead I was alone and scared, I had an Uber come to get me beside this place and while I was on the phone with him my phone died. Went into this Saigon place had my own charger and asked to charge my phone, before I could tell the guy I’d gladly buy dinner and drinks for myself and tip generously just so I can order another Uber to come get me he said “no no no” shaking his head at me shooing me out the door. Place is dark and dingy and dusty and the vibes are not welcoming. Would not recommend going here I can’t say anything about the food since I wasn’t able to get a word in to order. They just want your money and if you need help they’d probably let you die not going to lie, from the vibes I got lol now I went to whistling kettle a few doors down, the woman was so lovely and nice! Ordered a Pepsi float and soup, sandwhich and fries and it was delicious! Cute little place to take yourself I highly recommend whistling kettle . I was so grateful to get help from her I made sure to tip her wonderfully and wish her a good day she deserves it. Do not go to Saigon whatever.
I absolutely adore this place, awesome food, great family place to enjoy a beautiful meal and everything on the menu is the best of the best
Order from Doordash. This was how much meat was in my dish...pork tasted like it just had soy on it, chicken tasted off, spring roll barely had any filling. I'll give them another try cause maybe it's an off day but I'm disappointed
Amazing food and service... it's a hidden gem on the north side Authetic food... no hidden frills, just good honest homemade Vietnamese cuisine.Food: 5/5
Definitely the opposite of what you call authentic. The soup is salty, portions are small, the rice is not the real Vietnamese broken rice, they don't have real Vietnamese tea, their spring rolls don't even come with the traditional fish sauce. The waiter's service is even worse than the food. Careful on the bill because they tried to overcharge us without letting us know.
This place was disgusting. The beef in my beef soup tasted so cheap and chewy and was hard for it to go down, I ended up spitting it out. I tried to eat the other food in my soup but loss my appetite to continue eating. My spouse ordered chicken, rice and veggies and the dish tasted gross, worst then a child making it. Chicken was chewy and veggies not appetizing. The quality of meat was gross. We ended up paying the bill with more than 75% of the food remaining and went to another restaurant.
So bad worst pho on the north side wondering why they called it beef soup. Just salt no flavor and there larg is most places small way over priced.
Haven't even received my food yet and already appalled. Regardless how good it may be once I get it. I just ordered The prices are outrageous. 17.95 for a chicken and rice entree 10-15 for an entree is appropriate in my opinion. 8.95 for 4 spring rolls 5.95 would be appropriate in my opinion. Absurd. If it is ridiculously delicious I will raise my star rating. No higher than 3 though, as a parent value is paramount bathroom was very clean and the food/service was good.
Great food. We had the whole place to ourselves on Easter Sunday. They accommodated Mt 2 little grand daughters really well.
