I purchased two sarees in 2018 for my brother-in-law's wedding and had great service. I was excited to return to buy a sari for my cousin's wedding, as there was so many nice styles to choose from. However, when I walked in, the lady I think owns the store barely lifted her head to acknowledge me. When I tried telling her what I was looking for, she looked me up and down, and dryly asked what my budget was $200. Since I was looking for something simple for the henna party, she said she had nothing for that price or my size. She did not move from where she was sitting, and barely looked me in the face. She pointed to the discount table, and said that's all we have. She did not care to help me, and I felt like I was inconveniencing her. I came dressed in sweat pants and a sweat shirt. I felt like she looked at me, and assumed I couldn't afford anything and judged me accordingly. I went next door and got a beautiful sari and received great customer service. I won't be returning here.
This place git lots of rave because young friends perhaps classmates of owners son are pretty famous and always reference the attire. That's why maybe pricing is high for the quality its not worth it. Other stores can give a better option. Party wear or other occasion specific speaking. They did have good items pre cov%d that were not just bridal wear but party and we bought all the men's Kurt's plus grooms mom brides mom and some relatives clothing here. At that time better quality items and fabric, but the fitting was small. Though they did alteration it just fit. Bathroom looks renovated though appears clean however it is very smelly so for a place that has nice clothing it off putting. Will come back but nit sure if will purchase. Or use bathroom . Gross
I have had a relatively good experience shopping at Sahiba Fashions. This review is primarily regarding Amar's custom designing services. We ordered outfits from Amar for our wedding. While there were some minor mistakes, overall the quality of the outfits was good and they were very close to our vision. Having said this, the process was very unprofessional. Amar was completely unresponsive to our messages and calls, even when our wedding was a week away and we had received 0 update regarding an outfit as important as the groom's sherwani. It is inexcusable to be so inconsiderate towards clients during such a high-stress time because arrangements can always be made to communicate through others, plus he was communicating with other people we know during this time. I turned to the store owner, his wife and other employees at the store who were all very helpful and understanding throughout this process. I am grateful that they were apologetic, communicated and got my order to me in time. I would recommend shopping in-store, I would not recommend going with Amar for a custom piece if you value reliable or professional service.
Terrible service Ordered CUSTOM outfits for an entire bridal party, non of the outfits fit anyone therefore everyone’s had to be altered every person went in to do measurements. I took my outfit and my sisters in and gave them 5 weeks to alter it, we arranged a pickup up date & time.. when I went to pick it up they didn’t even start it. What was the point in giving them so much time, trying to be considerate for them to not even touch the outfits in 5 weeks? Other people in the bridal party had the same issue including the bride same issue where the didn’t alter her outfit for the arranged date and time. These outfits were for a WEDDING so they needed to be done on the arranged date and times but although we gave them so much time to alter they couldn’t be respectful enough to do it or even call us and let us know they need some extra time. I would not recommend buying or altering outfits from here.
Such an incredible experience - first class customer service and a HUGE inventory pf contemporary and classic designs for Men, Women and children's outfits! Go to see the chief curator of this massive inventory, Amar, today!! I guarantee you will walk out a happy customer.
My family and I have been going to Sahiba Fashions for years now. I have only had positive experiences until recently. On 3 separate occasions, myself and other family members had gone into the store looking for outfits for a wedding. My sister went recently and gave a budget of $500-$1000. She explained what she was looking for and the young gentlemen went into the back and came out within a minute and said he has nothing in the back and walked away. A few weeks back, I also went and i was told there was nothing in the back, everything was on the floor. I find this very hard to believe. Prior to this, they use to spend so much time to bring out outfits. I know covid has definitely affected stock, but I find it hard that on 2 occasions they had nothing in the back. I find that they are only accommodating a certain clientele profile now. I’m so disappointed in the service and unfortunately will not be going back nor will I be recommending them anymore. I only gave 2 stars because in the past I’ve never had any issues. Just to add a note to the owner's response. The previous 2 visits were on a regular day, no events, yet there was no customer service!
I went in to the store with every intention to purchase and was so excited when I was looking at their Instagram before I went in. As soon as I got into the store I saw that nobody was really interested in helping. The one time I flagged someone she just commented that nothing I chose will fit me. Okay, makes sense, so I asked her if she had any in my size? Which btw I have no problem finding in other indian or western clothing stores. She haphazardly showed me some oversized ugly dresses which I would never spend my hard earned money on, but which she thought were the only clothes meant for my body size. I was horrified at receiving this kind of service in Canada in this day and age, and I want to inform every plus size woman to avoid this store as they have absolutely no interest or available resources to make us look good. Unless you want an ill-fitting cloth to cover your entire body, which is what Sahiba fashions finds fit.
The service is awful. So many of the clothes had rips and they didn’t care. Also, the clothes are so overpriced. I tried the EXACT same outfit at another store like exact exact for $150 cheaper… also they charge so much for alterations $50+ for taking it in and adding sleeves. Never going back.
I consider this place as a family, everyone is amazing. They always welcome everyone with open arms. The owners are truly very genuine people. Huge collection of Indian Wear including Bridal and Party Wear for both Men and Women. You won't be disappointed.
I’ve recently received my bridal outfit from Sahiba and my expectations have sadly fell short. There slogan is “ you imagine we crate” but that’s not the case. My bridal lehenga is amazing. It’s everything and more then what I could of asked for. However, my additional dupatta and veil have fell short of my vision. I gave specific details for the veil and I received a dupatta. When the issue was addressed to the owner himself snickered and blamed me that there wasn’t discussion about the extra pieces even though I have it in text messages. I would of rather of been told that it’s not possible to make the veil as they are not experienced in that area. Now for the extra dupatta that I ordered that wasn’t included upon pick up. They did there best to rectify there mistake costing me extra money and an addition 4 hour commute. I’m extremely unhappy but there isn’t much to do as my wedding is in a week. Great store for off the rack pieces but not true customization.
