The Saanich Dental Group is a highly regarded, state-of-the-art dental practice.

Story

As a state-of-the-art dental practice we offer families and individuals more dental care options under one roof than many dental practices are able to provide.

We have been at the same location for over 20 years, and have a long history of service to the community. Dr. Jim Grier, now retired, founded the practice many years ago, and it has since grown to include three full-time partners; Dr. Sean Compton, Dr. Alina Toaxen, and Dr. Sukan Nip as well as our two great part-time associates Dr. Maryam Hodjati and Dr. Laura Turner.

Just got my crown for my implant and Dr. Toaxen did a beautiful job. Its a great fit. I'm going to celebrate w/ steak!! Dr compton and Mariela held my hand and were so patient thru the whole implant process. Thank you all, What a great team!
Went to SDG for the first time today. My hygienist was awesome! She was meticulous and did an excellent job. The dentist was great too! I felt that everyone was professional with their approach. I also appreciate that the office uses the state-of-the-art facility and equipment. I recommend trying out SDG for your next dental appointment!
I have been going to the Saanich Dental Group for over 18 years now! I have absolutely the best dental care! Dr. Compton, Mariola, Brooke and all the dental staff are so kind, caring and knowledgeable! I always feel safe and trust that I am in good hands even during challenging times like an extraction. Such a great dental group of dentists and hygenists. Everyone from the reception to Dr Compton makes you feel like a member of the family. Their skill and care is outstanding! And they make you feel comfortable and share laughs with you along the way. Thank you for caring for our family all these years!
I had such a great experience here. I have really sensitive teeth and my cleaning was painless. They really took the time to make sure I was comfortable.
Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The new location is so spacious and the equipments are all upgraded. My 4 year old daughter looks forward to her next visit.
The name sounds very ordinary, Saanich Dental Group, but this is not an ordinary dental office. The professional administrative staff are very friendly and helpful, and the dental team is compassionate and very skilled. I like that the dentists tell me what they’re going to be doing before they do it and communicate very well. The workmanship has been beyond expectation. And when I have had dental emergencies in off hours, my dentist has always been available to determine what action we need to take. I have had a lot of dental work that was necessary and have serious anxiety. I am impressed with the caring approach they have shown me. They do everything possible to make the appointment comfortable and are open to suggestions for that. My dentist knows the challenges I have and always begins with a bit of conversation before beginning. I think I am a challenging patient and I have nothing but good to say about this dental office and their staff. I really like them all and will continue to be part of their dental family for years to come. Thanks for caring!
As a family we have had nothing but good experiences with the Saanich Dental Group! The staff have provided us with excellent care and service. They are highly knowledgeable and take the time to provide quality work. They are also very kind and friendly, and make each appointment smooth and easy. We are so grateful for the SDG and highly recommend them!
Why go anywhere else? The office staff are super friendly. My hygienist is also super friendly. And my dentist is super friendly. That aside, they are also all professional and competent. This office was recommended to me by two different people for a reason. I am very happy with my decision to join Saanich Dental.
My experiences with Saanich Dental Group has always been fantastic!! I have been a patient of Dr Toaxen for over 10 yers and am very comfortable in her care. A delightful sense of humour and welcoming demeanour has always been a great part of my visit as well as the absolutely superb dental services I trust the Group with! A very talented and professional group to trust with your dental needs and lovely people to talk with as well!
