Excellent option in Milton for some Hakka Chinese food. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with an inviting decor. The staff are responsive and know how to deliver good customer service for sure.nnEverything we ordered was delicious. Chicken Manchurian is recommend. The Chilly Beef, highly recommend. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The Mongolian chicken and Sweet and Sour were all good as well.nnThe large servings of the soups is generous .. although a bit on the high sodium side. We had to mix our hot and sour with corn soup to find the perfect balance.nnThe only one tweak I'd recommend is improvement on the Red Thai curry. It wasn't bad, but not what you would typically get at other places in terms of ingredients and flavour. It wasn't bad, just different.nnWe'll definitely come back to try some more dishes, and really wanted to spotlight the great service. The complementary spring rolls were a delightful surprise for sure. Bon appetite!
Okay this is my first time trying their new location. Food was good, portion size were good.nWe tried spicy garlic chicken, fish Manchurian, pineapple chicken, Manchurian beef.nunfortunately the quality of service at this restaurant was below par. Staff was very cold and made us feel.unwelcome. No one would come ask if we needed something at the table. We had to call them or walk to the reception to get their attention. It was extremely frustrating. Then I asked them to bring out the cake that we brought as we were celebrating a friend's birthday. They just brought the box and left...no plates no forks,no smile nothing. Had to get up again and request them to bring us some plates.
I went to Royal Garden last night with friends.nThe food was awesome.nFrom the appetizers-fish pakora, chicken lollipop and mango salad were the best!nChicken corn & hot n sour soup were deliciousnThe gravy items in main course paired with noodles and fried rice is a treat.nWould like to try it out again.
We have tried this place many years ago at the old location and went again for the crispy fried wings. It's a brand new Halal Hakka style spot in the new Freshco plaza in Milton. We were seated right away, though the restaurant was busy because of weekend. We ordered hot n sour soup medium, crispy fried wings in Manchurian sauce, Thai chilli chicken dry, American chop suey in garlic sauce, and beef Manchurian. We were told it'd take 25-30 minutes, and the food was served in just that time. Soup was spicy, served with veg spring rolls and for 5 people, we had quite a bit of leftover. Wings were the highlight, exactly same flavor we went for. Chopsuey was good but garlic was a bit bland after such burst of flavor. Thai chilli chicken was good. The only thing that did not truly match the rest of the food was beef. The meat was soft but the sauce did not taste or look like Manchurian. I believe there was some sort of mistake with the sauce which we noticed towards the end of meal and did not ask. Overall good experience, great service. Good value for money quantity and quality wise!
Spicy shrimp was incredible but the spicy garlic fish and chili chicken were a bit bland. They may have decreased spice level because we are white and maybe they assumed we couldn’t handle it? Not sure. But we were a little disappointed on that since there was no spice to the dishes. Inside, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.nWe came here while our go-to Hakka restaurant in Milton relocates to the other side of town.nWe would like to come back to try the spicy squid as they’ve been out of it the two times I’ve gone - and another customer got green thai curry and it looked fantastic so that’ll be the next thing I try here.nThey gave us two free veg spring rolls which was very nice.
