Royal Columbian Hospital

Had an MRI twice in Royal Columbian Hospital. Had amazing experience. Nurses are friendly and they will not let you feel scared and worried. Although MRI takes an hour but no complaints at all. At that time that we came in was a bit hard to find free parking. There’s a pay parking across the street nearby emergency entrance.

Surgeons did not come and speak with me or my father personally after my father experienced complications that resulted in paralysis. It was a phone call.nnThen the night time ICU patient correspondent didn't provide any resources and made us wait from 11pm to 6am without coming out, not even once to the waiting area to inform us we will not be seeing him that night. But we can hear her laughing and just making small talk right by the door.nnBesides two amazing nurses, our family was devastated by the whole experience from the lack of compassion, kindness, and patience.nnIf you have a choice and you're not immediately dying, please choose to go to a different hospital.

What a great hospital. A big thanks to all the staff that make this place happen for patient centered care.

Spent 12 hours in the ER overnight. What an amazing experience. The staff were thorough, kind, clear. I felt cared for. My Dr. Was wonderful. I was poked and prodded. I was left alone to rest. There are really sick people who come to the ER, the privileged and the under privileged. We are treated equally, our needs taken seriously. Thank-you, to all of you.

Today my boyfriend had surgery and I can’t thank these amazing nurses enough in the surgical day care… they were so kind and professional to us and extremely patient with everything answered all of our questions and even when there was certain protocols that needed to be followed they were very respectful and polite about everything… I’ve had extremely horrible experiences at surrey memorial but the RCH health care team was absolutely amazing.. and apparently DR MacDonald was such a great doctor from what he told me great bedside manner, kind , and compassionate which made the surgery go by even faster.. everyone involved in his care today deserve the most appreciation for all of their kindness and hard work!!! From what I’ve witnessed today this is true nursing, and medical care!!!
