The ROM has something for everyone!! Despite the March break madness, crowd control was on point and 99% of the exhibits were available. I suggest purchasing tickets online to save time at the entrance. The facilities are very nice and well kept. The information on the exhibits are easy to navigate and very informative. Accessibility is on point. The play area for kids is a nice relief for parents as well.
Toronto's most popular museum, the Royal Ontario Museum.nnWe come here quite often with our little guy and enjoy it every time. We tend to prefer the earlier times as it does get quite busy.nnThe exhibits are changed up quite often so it pulls you back in. Most recently, my wife enjoyed the Auschwitz exhibit. My son and I opted for the regular museums, looking at animals, minerals and rocks plus some cool historical items from ancient China, Greece, Rome, etc.nnThe only downside at this place is the gift shop. It is so overpriced for what they sell. We've been to many museums all over, the MET and the British Museum for instance, and their gift shops weren't nearly as expensive. I took a picture of a stuffed animal snake my son liked, they wanted $45 for it.nnOther than that, it's a fantastic stop for any couple or family. Highly recommend checking it out.nn4/5.nn
I've been going to the ROM since I was a child. It's such a nostalgic place for me. It has so much history and exhibits. The staff there are incredibly helpful and nice. If you've never been, I 100% recommend going. The dinosaur exhibit is a must-see and their animal exhibit is awesome. Love the ROM forever
Great day spent at the ROM! It's always a pleasure to come here.nnUnfortunately some of the exhibits were closed due to renovations but looking forward to visiting again when it's all done.nnWe visited the special exhibits on the colors and earth and those were great!
We love taking our kids to the museum, we have a pass which is really nice as we can see all the new special exhibits, and we don’t have to spend the whole day.nnI was very disappointed with the new security measures. It took us a long time to get through, it was poorly organized in the doorway hardly leaves enough space for my family + the stroller. Thankfully we didn’t have a long wait but I’ve heard that it can be really bad. As a mom with two kids, we have so many items when we go to the museum and every single bag had to be opened and checked. Hopefully this is a trial and will be removed
