This was an amazing stop. So educational, and many interactive exhibits plus a dam tour. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. So good, I would happily pay admission were it required. Plus, they had a nice little cafe/shop with soft serve for us when we were done. Also very nice playground and picnic grounds. We also used the EV charging station. Please consider installing a few more, as it's a really great amenity!
Very educational to both kids and adults! Great designs for all the parts including some interactive activities. And the people there are very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget check the beautiful playground! It’s all free. Very recommended.
Pretty interesting place to visit. Lots to see and learn for adults and children too. There is no entry fee and use of the parks is free too. Definitely worth a visit and do one of the free tours.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
April May time they said you'll see dam letting winter melt water out. June/July the tour guide said you'll see salmon in the fish ladders. Interesting to visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
If you have children and traveling in Eastern Washington, this is the-must visit discovery center! We have learned a lot about the project, electricity and the fish bypass system. There is a tour to get inside the dam and I highly recommend taking it. You will see from inside how much effort the Chelan PUD put to built the dam and fish bypass system that helps salmon and steelhead on their way to the ocean.
Amazing redesign. My favorite light up the lightbulb has been updated and a cool steamboat captain. The old mural has been kept to put in another building. Lots of fun interactive things for kids
First time visiting the Rocky Reach Dam Discovery center. We stopped in while visiting family in the area. I enjoyed the displays and interactive activities while learning about the dam and the electricity provided. As well as the environmental strategies to improve lifestyles while limiting impact upon the environment. The facility was well maintained and clean, having numerous hand sanitizer stations throughout. And, there are beautifully maintained landscapes, along with play structures for the kids, surrounding the facility. It is all free and worth the stop, in my opinion. When we visited on a Sunday, the cafe was closed. So I can't comment on the offerings there.
I've been going here for over 30 years, and it's never a disappointment! They are constantly upgrading and adding new attractions.
This was a surprisingly entertaining place for children and adults. The kids loved the science toys, making electricity, and especially the interactive ship wheel. Everyone loved sitting downstairs and watching fish swim by in the ladder. Lupe was really incredible -- she was full of fun facts, gave the children necklaces, and was incredibly kind and generous with our large group. I think the kids' favorite part might have been getting to say "We sure had fun at that DAM museum" har har. Great spot! Worth a visit!
I've lived in Wenatchee for a few years and now regret not going here sooner! It was so awesome to learn the history of the area and finally learn more about the damn. The fish ladder exhibit was really interesting, my daughter couldn't get enough. The electrical generation exhibit was really fun for both kids and adults. Absolutely a great time and wonderful place to visit in Wenatchee.
