Don Morse Memorial Park, City of Chelan

We really loved this park as it's next to the lake with great play area for kids and right next to kayaking rentals, miniature golf and go karts. There are some shelters that you can take advantage of if you are with family. Caution: the parking is not free and the machine for paying parking would be offline sometimes. However the staffs next to RV registration were really friendly enough to help you out. Watch out for bugs that comes in big group, if you throw food in the trash at the park.

Great place to swim. Parking on site fills up quickly. Paid parking nearby and free parking on side streets and near Safeway. Playground was almost empty as everything was burning hot. People bring tents, tables, grills and send the whole day there. Bathrooms are clean but the ladies room doesn't have enough stalls. Nice food stand.

This park has everything that a tourist would want. There is a beach with rental equipment. There is a food shack in the parking lot as well as putting course and go karts. The go karts course looks really small. The beach is big enough to have a good amount of people, but come early on the weekends.

When I am visiting Chelan, this is where I go to swim. If you get there around 11am there is parking and plenty of space to set up and area to sit. There us also space for a canopy to be put up for shade. This area has sand, rocks, and drift wood on the beach so sensitive feet be warned. There are trash cans set around the area making clean up easy. The parking payment machine was acting up, and this isn't the first time. It's also only set for 2hrs, 6hrs, or all day. If you are willing to walk there is some free parking around the area on some side streets. My camera was able to get some fun photos under water and an okay photo if the lake from where we were sitting

Great park to spend time with family. Includes a playground, shore for swimming/jet skis, food stand, plenty of tables and shade.

Great place for swimming!

This used to be our favorite place to swim whenever we didn’t rent a house, but the beach was a mess this last visit. Is tons of driftwood and debris in the water the norm now? It was getting stuck in my hair. People brought rakes from home and were taking the debris into piles. Also there are more ducks in the water than I have ever seen here before. What was the point of changing the shoreline and making a “beach” if it isn’t going to be maintained.

The park was fine, we were only there because we rented a boat for half a day from Modern Boat Rentals. We were there on a Sunday at like 9:45 am, plenty of parking available. Picture is of the boat at the dock at Don Morse.

This is the park that I have gone too all my life growing up. The grounds are well kept and there is always space to have some fun with friends or family. The bathrooms are the only issue I have with the place. People do not know how to properly use a toilet so there seems to always be a mess. Other than that, it’s a great place to visit when you have free time.
