Overall great school. Yes, lots of field trips, most were great, but a few were questionable considering the long walk and time invested... Most teachers we had were good with one exception.nnIf you have Taylor, skip the year/ move school/ homeschool... or else be prepared for your kid to have a year of trauma . It happened to all the kids I knew in her class. Parents were concerned. My kid didn't want to go to school because of her. Her approach, tone, use of words were all very negative...
attended from 2008 - 2018nnsevere child abuse was not reported in homes, i was physically manhandled, i witnessed verbal abuse towards disabled students, and students with differences such as trauma.nnThis most likely is a representation of the times, the support for children, and the stigma surrounding abuse at the time. I was not helped when i should have, being a central school i would expect them now to be more informed.
i've been bullied by one teacher because of my race... but everything is really good. The school takes students to many field trips and we have many events and hands on activities. I have been a student here since kindergarten and i'm on my last year now.
schools nice people are okay too.
Spent a lot of time at this school. 10 years. I grew up with the people here, as well as Langevin itself. Sure, not the best school, but I really don't have any room for judgement because I've never been to another elementary/junior high school. Made great friends and I'm sad to leave this year. I'll miss Langevin!
