Our children have been attending this school since they were in Casa kindergarten and I'm so happy MMEC is our school! They are now in grade four and two, and have had the best education I could have hoped for. They both have very different needs, and I feel that both of them are very well looked after. There is so much opportunity for kids to work on projects they are interested in, so our kids are never bored the way their friends from other schools always seem to be. The teachers and staff at the school are all so genuinely caring and loving, and there has been very little staff turnover since we first joined. I have recommended this school to many of my friends over the years, and everyone has been extremely happy with the experience their children are receiving.
We have two children attending MMEC - Our oldest now in year seven Erdkinder who had started at this school in year one - Our youngest now in year four who had begun in pre-school. We feel grateful for this school, the care of the administration, and for all the teacher/guides who've provided such exceptional instruction to our children over these past seven years.
This is our third year at the Maria Montessori Education Centre. Our three kids, ages 3, 6 and 8 - all with very different personalities - all love going to school every day. True to Maria Montessori's philosophy, the school has fostered in our kids a love for learning; respect for themselves, others and the environment; and independence - crucial attributes for success that can't be measured on a standardized test. The school is run by compassionate and caring administrators and teachers who truly love what they do. It's no surprise there is very low teacher turnover. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for an authentic Montessori experience, or anyone who may be new to Montessori and is looking for an environment where children are treated as individuals, which yields better learning and fulfilled potential in each particular child.
My daughter is currently attending her 4th year at this school. She began when she was 19 months old in the toddler program and is now in her 2nd year of Casa.nThis school and its teachers have helped my daughter to grow into a kind and loving child. She will often ask for her teachers when we are at home and talk about how much she misses them. This morning she asked me if she could write in their Christmas cards how thankful she is for all of the lessons they have given her! Her knowledge on subjects that I have never discussed with her amazes me, she is excited to go to school every day and that alone is a testament to how caring and wonderful the adults here are.nI am more than thrilled with the education my daughter has received thus far and intend on sending her here for as long as possible!
We left mid year. After 1 month of school my 6 year old was being bullied and exclusion a risk of having 3 grades in 1 room. The school admin forwarded my complaint to a teacher, other teachers/staff were not informed of my concern. My daughter's last day involved 4 girls bullying her class at recess again. My daughter tried to talk to Mr B. teacher on duty but he was dealing with another incident. Note that morning at 8:30 am I had emailed Ms. Massey school administration about a grade 3 students inappropriate behaviour upon us arriving at school. It took the school more than a day to return my email/call. Ms Massey claimed it was because she was researching the situation. Our conversation stopped when she denied that I had called in October. I have an email from the school confirming my call.nnSuggest any parent review court documents regarding the school before making a commitment.
