Juicy Jerk

Date visited : Saturday January 22, 2022 Comments : Wifey got off late from work tonight. So we didn't feel like cooking. I did check what Chinese resto options were available past 9pm. Not many. I did call Juicy Jerk and they informed me they were open till 11pm on Saturday. The parking is kinda bad currently due to all the extra snow piled in the lot. Also, lots of rental cargo vans/trucks consuming parking spaces. They do accept Debit/Interac Service : 3/5 Lady we spoke to was very friendly. She explained that their menu changes daily and the only static items on the menu are the Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork dishes. Food : 3/5 We ordered Jerk Chicken comes with rice and peas, Peppered Shrimp w/Festival dumpling. Now, I'm not an expert by any means on Jerk Chicken. The chicken meat itself was juicy, the chicken pieces looked like 2 drumsticks that had been cut up. We did find the spice level ok, however the skin was too salty for us. We were not too keen on the rice and peas. As for the Peppered Shrimp, wow for us, this had a kick spice wise. The shrimp itself was tender, not overcooked, just the spiciness had us looking for a glass of milk. Drinks : N/A Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 3/5 Both the Jerk Chicken and the Peppered Shrimp were $10 each, HST seems to be included. However, for the $10 spent, it seemed a bit on the steep side for the amount of food we received. Worth repeat visit : Kinda on the fence on this, we might come back for the Jerk Chicken alone, without rice and peas. Also the Festival dumplings were good too. Not sure what else they have since their daily menu is changing each day, with exception to the already mentioned Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork.

I've eaten from many Caribbean restaurants in the past. But I must say by far the best and the most tastiest place in town. Curry goat and jerk chicken were delicious with great portions. The food is constantly fresh. This is my favourite restaurant out there. I would highly recommend everyone to try it at least once to get the experience I had.

I ordered jerk pork with rice & peas I asked to have the oxtail gravy on it, as I like my rice to have gravy. I was disappointed. There was absolutely no gravy, & thinking of jerk food one would expect it to be a little spicy but this was not. I have had much better jerk pork before. There used to be a jerk place on Kingston rd & Morningside unfortunately they closed

Super nice owner with incredible food to back it up!! My wife and I both had the jerk chicken meals - a solid near 9/10 - only thing that would make it a perfect meal - house made coleslaw!! Going in on Wednesday to try the curry goat!

Beautiful interior, absolutely top customer service. You have to try the Ginger Beer it's made by the chef. Its surprisingly, not spicy. You can taste the authentic back home ginger beer. My favorite is the Jerk Pork yum yum. Mitchell is so pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I ordered the chicken soup and dumplings as well as the curry chicken with extra hot sauce. Let me tell you, I was soooo happy with the soup and the curry. I've hunted for a long time for a good tasting soup, this one was en pointe!!! Juicy Jerk you just earned a super fan! This is my second order and will definitely not be my last! Wishing you much success!!!

I ordered with Skip and was really disappointed. I got goat and oxtail meals and for large meals the box was very light. I hardly gor goat in my food but I did get alot of bones and sauce. Some parts of my meat was fridge cold and it didn't taste frest. It was starting to lose its flavour and my guess would be 3 to 4 days old. It was the same as the oxtail. I am not giving a bad review to bring you down but for you to get better. The food wasn't the greatest as it was just there but I'd return for freshness any day.

Delicious meals, love the rice and peas not too much coconut milk. I also loved the chefs ginger beer that my mom recommended. Delicious.

Picked up 3 chicken and one pork entree from this shop..Super friendly service. Food was top notch. House made hot sauce was superb. A hidden gem!

So good Worth the visit. Very clean restaurant, fresh food, and friendly staff.
