Richters Herbs

Richters is a great place to get plants and seeds for the garden. It's also good for dried herbs and teas. I always like going here on a sunny day in the winter to enjoy the humid warm air of the greenhouse. This place is good for the soul. Lots of helpful and knowledgeable staff to help you with questions.

Applies to online store only. Most of the plants were leggy but okay, but one variety that I ordered were either partially dead, covered in black leaves, or nothing more than a seedling. Edit: The seedling didn't survive transplant. To be fair, I haven't decided to ask for a refund over three plants, but I think it's important for other online buyers to have an idea of what they could expect. 1. Customer service by phone is SUPER NICE, but I never received a response by email 2. My order took almost two months to ship -- one month I expected because of frost dates, but two was a bit excessive. 3. Two plants were left off my order due to availability but nobody told me until I received the order -- however, they were very friendly and agreeable about refunding them when I called. I just wish someone would have told me before shipping the order because I would have made substitutions after such a long wait. So not great, but not awful either. I suspect that this is a very nice store IN PERSON and the people I actually talked to were nice, but I think their huge variety hurt them in this case, because not everything is available and not everything available is worth shipping. A shame for sure.

Decent products, good selection and friendly staff. My issue was when I tried to get support for a caper bush order of $92.00 I asked Charlene if I could get a print out or any other details on how I should transplant and care for the bushes. She told me that all she was trained to do was how to do order entry and that if I needed to know how to care for caper bushes that I would be best to go on google. Well Charlene, here I am on google and looking up info on caper bushes ain't the only thing I'm doing. Best of luck to you.

I have ordered my herb plants, and occasionally seeds, from Richters for 20 years. They have an amazing selection and the plants always arrive in beautiful condition. I have never had a problem with any of their plants. Great selection, price, quality and customer service.

Don't know of a better place to get anywhere close to the quality and variety of seedling and seeds. I have always been happy with their products at the store and delivery.
