ReStore - Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region and Administrative Office (Waterloo)

This is probably the worst ReStore in all of Southern Ontario and I've been to a lot of them.nnBBQs for $1000, 900, 700.... Manual outdoor equipment for $200... Couches that I don't think I will let my dog lay on for 200 plus dollars they are left with so many couches cuz they can't sell anything. A crappy a broken drawer organizer for $75, bathroom vanities for $500-800... HINGES crappy door hinges $10 per hinge.....nIt is supposed to be habitat for humanity. it's donated items why are we trying to rook the general population for gobs of money when we are coming there because we can't afford new things. So now we can't even afford used donated stuff??? When they get this all for free as donations. I have no problem with paying for things because it goes to a good cause but why am we being abused like this, there are LED strip lights that are sold at Costco that they are currently selling their for more money than brand new ones at Costco.nnIt's kind of disgusting to be honest. I even showed some of the photos and prices to other restore locations for opinions and even they think that this is disgusting to the point w

This has to be one of, if not THE WORST restores EVER!!! Came here today looking for a glass display cabinet, don’t want to spend $300 on a new one, so I thought I would look for something secondhand, while supporting a good cause. Walked through the front door only to be greeted by a $5000 reclining couch. I knew right away I wasn’t going to find what I was looking for, but I began wandering. $125 for garbage/recycling bins you can buy on Amazon for half brand new, ikea bookshelf for $45 you can buy on marketplace for $10-20. Want an armchair? Well better come with $225 in your pocket to take one home from here. This is absolutely absurd pricing, I couldn’t run out of the store fast enough. Whoever is pricing these items needs to head to the moon, because that’s clearly where their head is at! I get this is a store that supports a charity, but you get all your inventory FOR FREE!!! To add on top, the staff is very rude, was only in the store for ~5 minutes and saw a bad interaction between a staff member and customer. If you like overpriced USED stuff, this is your place, otherwise don’t waste your time here.

I really hate having to give this location only one star because for the most part, they have a wonderful, large section of different very useful items, theres no question of that. The reason im only giving one star is because of how insanely over priced they are. You get everything in your store FREE, by donation, meaning it doesn't cost you a penny, how can you justify charging customers what you do? I used to be such a fan of the restore but now I dread having to come in the store. Your prices are as absurd as value villages, why would we want to come and spend basically brand new pricing on a used item? I thought you were all for helping the people? When did that change? When did greed take over from helping the people? Whoever does your store pricing needs to give their head a shake and remember what your company stands for, or at least used to stand for ....

Don't waste your time. Website says donations open till 6. Drive 30 min, show up at 5:30, sign says donations until 5. Then tell me there's a sign...ok. Then tell me that they already have a lot of bed frames anyways. Your web site says you accept bed frames, why? Never supporting you again.

Restore- habitat is great store to visit once a week at least, they have great staff helping you and there are tons of stuff cheaper than other places that sometimes you couldn’t find somewhere else, also whatever you buying there is donation and you support others people in your community to build houses with low cost, also you can donate whatever stuff you have and you don’t want it , to be honest we need a lot of stores like this store in our communities , we are lucky to have this store , and we’re proud to support others people when we buying from them in same time and you can donate whatever stuff you don’t wanted. Thank you habitat to be in our community and to make our communities and families happy and bring the hope for them , please for everyone support this place .
