Story

The Sleep and health and wellness business has changed, the need for products that are lasting longer, with more versatility and customization are becoming more relevant and necessary for what people are looking for.

Simple ways to get a good nights sleep or a more peaceful day that doesn't always revolve around the mattress. A more thorough way of finding a solution.

Mattresses used to last 15-20 years, manufacturers more commonly used natural processing methods to produce wool and cotton products. The product of today is not the product of 20 years ago. Experience has shown us that there is room for change and that people don't have to suffer with little or no options.

The world has become a more toxic environment. Voc's are everywhere and very few regulations or certification to prove otherwise. The need for a more transparent way of getting a good nights, and a cleaner lifestyle has become essential.

I discovered Resthouse in their original Duncan location, and loved the products, the display, the owners and staff....indeed, everything about them. Appreciating natural fibres, local and/or fair trade products, it was easy to choose stunning bed linens, bath mat, and wool blankets. After their move, I checked out the larger location in Victoria's Uptown. They now display the full selection of gorgeous bed and mattress configurations, and I look forward to investing in one in the new year: That one can choose building blocks of firm or soft latex rubber for various sleeping schemes is brilliant. In the meantime, a clearance section in the store advertised terrific discounts, and I was able to spruce up my ancient bathroom with a beautiful woven cotton shower curtain. Uptown was built for automobile accessibility. Happily, there is a glorious cycling/walking trail that makes a pedal to the mall easy and fun. Just hop off at the Switchbridge exit, and use the pedestrian-controlled crosswalk. Resthouse is between Whole Foods and the medical/fitness building. Thank you!!

This place is in a class of it's own. From the friendly knowledgeable staff, to exceptional quality of everything in the store. The staff genuinely want you to have the best sleep experience possible. I only regret that we didn't shop here sooner and I can't imagine going anywhere else now.
OMG...this must be the best company in the entire world! One doesn’t buy there, but has an experience...From sales at the store to Delivery and set ups they make sure that you are treated the best as you could be, the quality of the product is unreal and I am REALLY HAPPY that I decided to take the drive from Victoria and get my bedroom made by Resthouse instead any other that I visited! We purchased a mattress from here about 3 years ago! As well as a wooden bed frame, a mattress topper and a dog bed! I waited to write a review because I wanted to see how well it held up. After all this time it is still the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. We travel alot so I've slept in many:. We regularly turn the mattress which feels important to do. It has become slightly softer where we sleep and has stayed more firm in the center, which I wasn't expecting. But I still LOVE it and recommend these mattresses to everybody. The customer service was incredible as well. It was the best mattress buying experience ever! The owners are honest, down to earth and kind. We will be coming back to buy a mattress for our son soon. Can't wait. Thank you Resthouse!
My husband and I popped in out of curiosity and left with two new pillows. The owner and staff were very informative and passionate about sleeping and their product. I highly recommend a visit and if you leave with the entire bed set, you won the sleeping lotto.
If you care about your sleep this is the place to go. Staff and owner were incredibly informative and their products are of the highest quality. Only invested in a pillow and I haven’t slept better since. Will be going back for all my future sleep needs. 5/5 stars
I’m so happy to have found Resthouse online. It didn’t take me long to navigate their website and find what I wanted. I received my purchase quickly. The linen has a rich, even colour. The tight and smooth weave of this quality linen feels luxurious. Body temperature is kept at a cool, comfortable level. Fits a deep pocketed mattress without tugging and slipping off the sides. Pillowcases are just as beautiful on facial skin. Customer service is excellent. Camille Prompt, knowledgeable and friendly replies to my emails. It’s so refreshing to do business with a company with superb everything.
I was so happy to find the Resthouse store while searching for organic bedsheets last year. Now I keep going back for more. They carry the best in organic linens for the home and their service is fantastic. They ship orders quickly and beautifully and they are always helpful. Considering the quality, their prices are reasonable. And, I get to support an actual store that cares about the customer and stands behind their product. These days, stores like the Resthouse are few and far between.
I always feel well cared for, and I am always treated like family when I go. The staff truly believe in the products they offer, and are very knowledgeable and informative: they've helped me numerous times over the years to pick just the right sleep solutions for our family, from pillows to mattresses to bedding. We recently upgraded my daughter's mattress with another layer as she grew after a few years of loving the mattress in its initial configuration; they said it would be likely at some point when I made the initial purchase. I have been patiently waiting for my turn and I just purchased a mattress package for our bed that I can't wait to have delivered. Their White Glove service is outstanding, especially that they remove the old mattress, but also they are wizards with the set up. Thank you to the whole team at Resthouse for your caring, supportive approach to all of your clients.
