Went into to browse for a recliner and ended up purchasing two of their LaZ Boy’s. Wide selection, very helpful service and at a fair price. We should have started our looking at Merit.
I called Wendy at the Duncan store and informed her I wanted to replace my 25+ year old Maytag fridge with a new model. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in identifying the exact model I needed. I paid half the cost as a down payment, and waited for it to arrive. When Wendy informed me that the original delivery date could not be met, I went into the store to see what was available there. Wendy found exactly what I wanted for a better model than I had originally ordered, and for delivery in only a few days time. The delivery guys were on time and very professional and careful. From beginning to end, Wendy was very reassuring and positive in her manner. Thanks!
After shopping around at the other shops in town my wife and I finally found a sofa set that was a great fit and a great price, and in stock. The sales staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy like some of the other stores we went into. Delivery came on the day they told us it was going to, and we love it. We'll definitely return, and would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic experience at Merit Home Furniture in Duncan. We were helped by a lovely man, Gary, who was superbly delightful and very helpful. We liked him at his first comment: "We don't bother you here; I won't follow you around, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask." What proceeded was both fruitful, since we bought a couch that day, and full of laughter. He was a hoot and a half. 10/10 - would definitely recommend.
I went in knowing what I wanted so the sales associate didn't need to do much aside from confirming everything. It was nice leaving the store with my freezer the same day. Quick and hassle free
Came in today looking to purchase a dining set and was very disappointed in service. Smaller selection of dining sets which is fine but at least try and help your potential customers try and find something that may work for them. I think I spent all of 30 seconds to maybe a minute talking to someome before she walked off and ignored me while I was still asking questions about sets. Very odd behaviour. Won't be wasting my time there again. Went to The Brick and received AMAZING service.
The initial visit was awkward, the ladies at the store seemed a little reluctant to help and were very unapproachable. Went ahead and bought my very first bed set, and was told the set did not need a box spring. When I finally received my set, and put it together... low and behold it DID need a box spring. Numerous times over the phone I was redirected. They had no solution for me, other than to buy one. I live out of town, and not willing to pay their 200$ delivery fee. I would have appreciated them at least taking fault in this, or at least an apology. Don’t recommend.
Purchased a mattress here. It was not the comfortable one I tried out on display in the store. They wouldn't let me exchange it because of covid. The mattress is as hard as if I was laying on the floor. I would not have picked a mattress that hard. I'm out 1300 bucks . I will never shop here again or refer people like I already have
I can't thank the staff enough. They went out of their way to make me happy. They were very patient and understanding. I highly recommend this store.
I will not shop here again, no not ever. Duncan BC location I ordered a bed in September of 2020, and I did not receive the bed until February 2021, five months, almost six months. They kept telling me it was because of Covid 19 that shipping was delayed, okay maybe so, as I know a lot things are slowed because of covid, BUT not once did they call to keep me updated, I had to drop in and also call to check on it. When I finally received the call that the bed was in, they said they could not enter the building and would leave it in the lobby for me to take up and put together my self, which I find odd becaue right on their web site they clearly say they have professional people who deliver and set up your purchase where you want it. I explained when I bought it five months ago I was promised delivery AND set up, they finally said they would see what they could do, a few days later they send someone to bring the bed and to set it up, not really professionals, but they did a good job none the less but no box spring or matress, so I called again, and now was informed they thought I had those items, so again I wait until the following week for them to bring me those items. I don't think it was all because of COVID 19, because way before covid19 I had ordered a couch and it was the same thing, not five months but it still took about a month to get the couch. The customer service is appalling, will not be back ever.
