Saw this place one day while driving and something about it--maybe the name, maybe something else--made me think I gotta go there soon. Went the same night. There was a lot of people, mostly families and couples, and people ordering for take out, it all felt reassuring. Ordered a Hot Chicken. I never had such a good Hot Chicken. It made me think that this was DA REAL Hotchicken. Hoping to go back soon.

Had the Smoked Meat Poutine and I was pretty impressed. Nice slices of smoked meat, not little squares so fresh. The Italian speaking made me want to try the pizza which is probably amazing. Cash only in 2021 is a large drawback. Still not sure how I felt about a large man sleeping while sitting with only a glass of water on the table. Drunk? Overly tired? Who knows, but I’m sure a great place for late night snacks.

Lady at the counter didn't acknowledge me, which felt like a slap in the face. However, man from the kitchen which I believe to be Frank assisted me. I could write a whole lot more, but who wants to read an essay from a disgruntled client. How I rated it: 1. Price quality ratio is good - burger was legit. 2. She did apologize for not having asked me if I had my order taken. - From the start it was obnoxious, I walked in she didn't engage me, I then left to grab coffee as she was settling some clients at the counter. Upon my return I said hello and she didn't respond... 3. Frank I believe, was a gentlemen, took my order. 4. Would be good if they took other methods of payment. Corner family owned business. Busy staff but friendly, always felt welcomed. The pizza is my go-to meal. Amazing and generous.
Four of us were in town for the Grand Prix, we went down to a place called AJ's for dinner, but the kitchen was closed. So we ask the bartender for a recommendation. As he's thinking, an old Italian guy at the bar looks up and says, " Send them to Da Frank." The bartender says, " I don't know, it's a really long walk from here." The guy looks up again from his drink and says, " Send them to Da Frank." As a few out-of-towners, we weren't sure what we were walking into, "Da Frank?" we all said. So off we walked into a torrential Montreal downpour. We arrived at the coziest family-owned restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing. Best spaghetti I've ever had and everyone else enjoyed the HUGE portions and quality of the food. I'd eat here every week if this was back home!
Ordered a medium all dressed pizza at 5pm it’s taking forever. Never again am I ever ordering from these guys again
I give you 5 stars. But I will not talk about the food. I will tell you about the amazing woman that you have working there. I went yesterday, nov 11,2021. We just ordered something hyper simple because I was afraid the service could be slow. All tables were occupied, more less 5 persons waiting for their take out, and the telephone ringing without stopping. I don't know is your normal be that busy it was from 5pm to 6pm. That woman was taking care of everyone in the restaurant, I'm pretty sure, none of us get the feeling of being forgotten. All this to tell the administration, you must to take good care of here. Good employees is hard to find.
Was told the food is great so my wife and i went there only to find it's cash only....what a disappointment.....and we were really forward to it...
