Red Lion Inn & Suites Missoula

Got handicapped accessible room, clean, large bathroom including bathtub stool (removable), daily housekeeping. Hospital 2 blocks away! Had to extend stay due to emergency. They made sure we could keep same room & not move. "Roaring Lion breakfast buffet" fair & varied. Internet, desk, & extra chairs welcome. A.C. & heat worked fine. Centrally located on the Clark Fork river, not far from I-90.

Arrived expecting a first floor room for an elderly person, reserved in advance on the phone. Given a room on the second floor, got to the room to discover it had never been cleaned. An end to a long day traveling at 2:00am. Staff was very nice about it. Only got worse, after being moved to a new room we had left an item behind. Asked the manager about it when we checked out and she acknowledged that it had been brought to the office. However someone employed there decided they wanted it. Really trust those people in your room???

Though the rooms were clean and mostly quiet. They were in serious need of repair. One light didn't function, it had one working bulb out of 8. The bolt on the door was hanging off, one of the screws supposed to holding it was shorn off, two others stripped and the fourth in crooked. The bathroom fan did not function either. If those things were fixed and a coffee pot made available in the room I could give it 5 solid.

My company booked this room for a week. I was here a couple weeks ago and suspected there might of been a mouse in the room but yesterday there was definite proof, it had gotten into one of my protein shakes and you could see the tail trail through the powder. There was mouse poop left there by the TV also near the lamp and inside the dresser! The woman at the desk said she was aware of they have a mouse problem and they are trying to take care of it. She offered to change my room but I will not stay in a place that is infested with mice! The office staff or nice enough in saying that they will refund my company the money but clearly I am not sure that it's safe or healthy to be renting rooms that you know have mice in them. On the plus side there is an outdoor pool and it is 9 feet deep, I enjoyed that one day, the day I checked in before I had to go running from the mice. The room also had a musty smell, orange mildew in the shower and was very old and run down

They supposedly have a new policy of not providing coffee in the room. How does a person drink coffee in the morning, without first having to completely get ready for the day? I need my coffee before I meet people. We have stayed at this hotel with our red lion rewards for over twenty years. Not after this stay. There are other hotels in the downtown area that we will be using after this night. Room is clean, however it is not as updated as other red lions that we frequent. Not staying here again.
