My first time at this family run Hakka takeout and I already know the eatery that will top my list of places to eat in Newmarket. Prices here are very reasonable for the portion sizes served here. The schezwan shrimp fried rice was very flavourful, so was the gravy of the chilli veggie balls. What stood out to me was the “Indonesian chilli paste” which as a Singaporean, I was very impressed by the kick and quality of it that immediately reminded me of the “sambal belacan” at home. To all Singaporeans/Malaysians/Indonesians reading his, don’t miss out on the homemade sambal belacan over here to pair with their delicious fresh food. The takeout might get busy but Francis, the jovial owner will nevertheless ensure that your wait is not too long and you are pleased with the food. I am still relatively new to this Newmarket/Aurora area but restauranteurs and locals like Francis are one of the hugely positive impressions I have about the area. I am looking forward to trying more of their dishes as a repeated patron whenever I’m passing by the locality.

This afternoon, I ordered the Sweet and Sour Fish with Rice and Spring Roll for $9.99. I was very impressed with the taste, it was so yummy The services were good too. I will definitely visit again to try other dishes

As per usual my Hakka adventures consist of Pakura chicken, Bombay Chicken and Shanghai noodles and couldn't ask for more from a Hakka restaurant. Especially within a 20KM radius of Newmarket, Aurora and East Gwillimbury! Would come again! Also the owners are super nice!

My first time at the restaurant.. I ordered the Vegetarian Hakka Noodle as a lunch special for $9.99. It was great. Will go again to try other dishes very soon.

First time ordering here and I’m ready to place my next order. The food was absolutely amazing! We got the chilli chicken, crispy ginger beef our absolute fav so soo delicious! Hakkah chicken noodles, chicken pakora and chicken fried rice. Absolutely delicious, not too oily like other places! The price was also great! Our new favourite Weekly takeout place, and a must try!!! Also the staff was amazing, very friendly and kind!

Must try the chili chicken and szechuan fried rice!!! If you like spicy, ask for their chili sauce sambal. Been looking for hakka food in newmarket/aurora area and finally found one. Will definitely come back!

I grew up in Scarborough and when it comes to Hakka Food, we had always gone to Frederick's for food. But it's quite a drive down there. I live in Newmarket in the last 5 years, and there's no Hakka place to go to. Until last October, RED DRAGON KITCHEN opened up and they did not disappoint. My brother and I went to get takeout here for lunch. We ordered the sweet & sour chicken and chili chicken lunch combos which both came with white rice and a spring roll. We also order chicken pakoras. The food was very well seasoned and not overly salty. The portion sizes and quality were well worth the price and I would recommend others to try this restaurant and hakka cuisine if you have never tried it before. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again!

Visited this restaurant as a group of 6 on a Friday night. Although the decor isn't much to speak of, the food was amazing! Despite some minor hiccups, everything was delicious and well priced. Definitely will be visiting again soon! Thank you!

Delicious Hakka food finally available in Newmarket. No more driving to Scarborough or Richmond Hill. Owner is always welcoming. My favourites are chilli chicken, Bombay chicken, Hakka chow mein, and schezuan shrimp fried rice. Food quality is great and portions reflect the price. Lunch specials are good too.Food: 5/5
