Golden Dragon

C12 combination platter will forever be the GOAT item on any Chinese restauraunts menu I’ve ever been. The food here is so much better than other Chinese restaurants it’s not even funny. You cannot find sesame chicken better than the one sold at this golden dragon. And for the price of $13 per platter it’s amazing value.

This place it by far the best Chinese food I've ever had. Everything tastes homemade. I've eaten here more times than I can remember to count and I've never had any complaints. I'd eat here for breakfast lunch and dinner if I could.

Honesty and service is very important to me. I went into this restaurant and ordered three items off their big poster that they have on the left side wall. But when the bill came, it was $8 more. I asked about it and he said the poster is old. I don't mind paying the extra but just be honest about it. Either take off the poster or update the poster menu to reflect current prices. On top of that the food and service were both less then mediocre at best. I went in for the first and last time. Will never go there again.

***WARNING*** please please stay away from this place at all costs! I got very bad food poisoning today eating here. I don’t recommend eating here. You will with out a doubt get sick! Very disappointed.

The food is ok but I ordered the lunch special, sweet and sour chicken, as per their website .. and received chicken balls with no sauce or vegetables. I wouldn't have written a review if the person who I spoke with on the phone didn't tell me "we don't serve chicken with vegetables" They didn't offer me anything, just more sauce for next time I come in.. Very disappointed

I believe it's been quite some time since the staff at Golden Dragon has tasted their own food. With their close proximity to a high school it seems that they've gotten used to pumping out $5 lunch specials, which might explain why the food is so uninspired and rushed. The black bean ribs were gamey and tough and most of the meat wasn't even ribs. The egg rolls were worse, if that could even be possible; stuffed with nothing but cabbage.

Some was overbooked, chow mein had a jelly texture, chicken balls were small and hard.. totally unimpressed!

Today, tried for 1st time. It is not only a Chinese food bit also does not have a good taste.

My favorite place to get takeout in Newmarket. Their sesame chicken puts others to shame. Also, try their crab cream cheese wontons aka crab rangoon, highly addictive.

I ordered on new years eve. Was told 45 minutes and was pleased it came on time. I found the spring rolls good unlike other poor reviews. Although the dishes lacked much flavour. I found them too bland. The sesame chicken was hard. Sweet and sour chicken balls had too much better. But this typically par. The rice and vegetable dishes were very bland. But most disappointing was the mushroom egg foo young which is my favourite. It was a large dry omelette lacking flavour and gravy. I write this review in hope that the restaurant will read and hopefully accept constructive comments to improve. You have potential to improve. Please feel free to contact me
