Great authentic Indian food. Onion Baji were amazing. Chicken curry was delicious. Server was very attentive and friendly.
The food was ok, but I've certainly had better. Felt the flavours could have been stronger.Food: 3/5
First time trying, after reading reviews decided to give it a try. The man who took my order was very nice. But I do have to agree, the food is bland. The butter chicken tastes more like a rose sauce than any Indian flavour. The samosas were really oily too, it was dripping off of them and made them almost inedible. Pretty expensive as well, butter chicken, naan, samosas and rice was $40. Had to buy the rice separate as the butter chicken doesn’t come with any. Portions were great though, bigger than most Indian places I’ve been too. I would have given 5 stars if it just had more flavour.
Ordered for 30 people this weekend. Owner was very amenable to changes before pickup and was very courteous. It was ready on time and the food was outstanding...everyone at the party loved it. Will definitely order from India Gate again. Thank you for helping to make it a great party! Vegetarian options: Baingan Bhartha, Aloo Gobi and Paneer dishes were simply delicious!
Genuinely one of my favourite Indian restaurants, anywhere. I’ve lived in Toronto, Boston and Vancouver and I always come back to this place because it’s so delicious. The palak paneer is incredibly flavourful and the malai kofta is wonderful too. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options
Ordered a butter chicken through Uber eats. They sent it as is, no rice or naan bread for 18$. Don’t bother spending your money here, go elsewhere for larger portion AND rice/naan will come w it.
A great family run business with delicious, traditional Indian food! We enjoyed the Butter Chicken with huge pieces of white meat, Lamb Roganjosh, Rice and Peas Pulao, Chana, Masala, Daal Mahkni, and the yummy naan bread. Lots of other vegetarian and meat options to choose from as well. Portions were huge with plenty to feed four with leftovers and all under $20/pp. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Indian Cuisine in the area! Vegetarian options: Plentiful and tasty vegetarian options. We opted for the Rice and Peas Pulao, Chana Masala and Daal Mahkni sp?, but there was an abundance of other choices to pick from as well.
Lovely food and lovely owner and lovely staff that impressed this customer who frequents Gerrard Street in Toronto weekly / this resto is on my way to Barrie and is conveniently located in the Giant Tiger mall I ordered the saag paneer with a Roti for lunch and it served as my dinner when I got home and was still very tasty Parking: Huge ample outdoor mall parking
You don’t have to travel to India to have the best food experience. India gate’s perfect food options from the tandoori chicken to lamb karahi or chillie chicken perfectly seasoned a little something for everyone…The friendly service and cozy atmosphere is very welcoming. I would dine there every night Vegetarian options: A big selection of delicious food options Kid-friendliness: My 12 year old son absolutely loves the food and welcoming hospitality Parking: Easy part many spots available
Food was very tasty , I just loved it even I tried it for the very first time, when I entered in the restaurant, OMG very calm and decent feeling I had , my order was for taking out , so even after reaching home I ate it , & that was delicious. Specially , the gentleman on the desk , is very polite , friendly, he just welcomed very well so , I think whenever I will go Newmarket, will prefer to eat here only.
