This is a great unknown park that is a hidden gem in Calgary’s core. It is like the senator burns formal gardens but even more full of flowers, trees, and beautiful features. As an English rock garden it is s good example of its type and I wish Calgary would use it as a model for newer parks and green spaces as it is a calm and relaxing place year round. Parking is free and it is close to transit so I recommend stopping by anytime.

Park in the city centre offering a quiet space for walks, reading, and small group hang out. This garden is surprisingly not as busy considering strategic location and beauty it has to offer, not to mention the parking currently made available to visitors at no cost. The variety of plants you can see is huge. The history of the garden is worth reading.

We had a late summer Sunday brunch in this magical spot a couple of weeks ago. The surroundings are truly unique and the perfect spot for a nice walk to view the gardens after having a great breakfast. Don't miss the quiche!

The gardens are both historic and peaceful. It is a great place for contemplation and reflection amidst babbling brooks beautiful trees well manicured lawns and well planned flower gardens. There is a restaurant also a historic design that is quaint and relaxing boasting a unique menu for brunch/ lunch dining.
