Was stiffed on a large delivery for an after hours staff function at this branch. Not sure if it was management or the company floating the bill, but in a country where its customary to tip the folks in the service industry may I suggest making your own food at home if it's too much money to pay for our services. We put a priority on your order to have it prepared and delivered at a specific time, and not only did I essentially make the delivery for free, but I will also be tipping the hard working kitchen staff on your behalf out of my own pocket. Hope it was tasty though!
Their system was making it impossible to use my account, so they said they could get me a money order instead of doing it through online/mobile banking, and that they would waive any associated fees. A day or two later, I check my mobile banking and it turns out that they charged me anyways... don't give your customers your word if you aren't willing to keep it. I will now go out of my way to not use RBC because of this experience. It took me 3+ hours, 2 visits to the branch and a 1+ hour phone call to try to sort this all out. It's 2022, I should have been able to make these transfers needed in 60 seconds or less from my phone, as I can with CIBC.
This location used to have the best hours for inbranch service. Till 6pm on thursdays, open till 3pm on Saturdays, 5pm all other days. I guess the only people that bank are people that dont work. I left Scotiabank because of the aweful hours.
Not one to leave bad reviews ever but wow some of the employees had no idea what they were doing. For somebody that worked at a bank I would ask my manager/resource team if I’m not sure about a particular situation but they kept feeding me false information which I only find out after calling the call centre. The branch also told me that they would call me regarding info of my problem but never ended doing so. Hope they start reading these reviews and fix something.
Worst experience ever, very slow working on application, very slow replying to customers, not perfect and particular on time, answer very busy when comes to do something. Delayed when u needed the things done right on time.
I echo what others said in the comment, Branch manager told me I can’t stand in business line unless I am doing a large transaction. If so you should put up a sign says “business line only for large transaction”. RUDE SERVICE, the first time in my life I do not want to bank with RBC.
The RBC Canmore Branch Manager is extremely rude. The amount of poor customer service / attitude I've witnessed and received has caused me to close all my accounts with this bank entirely to avoid this one awful employee. Do yourself a favor, walk down the street and open an account with BMO. 0/5 rating.
Best service ever. Vijay helped to get a statement really quick. He has been friendly and offered great service.
They're great as long as you're Canadian and you don't speak with an accent. If you aren't from here, then no one gives a s...t. We simply found the other bank. Safe yourself stress, don't support racism.
I find the tellers are quite racist in their attitudes towards people of colour. It is very disheartening & humiliating to bank at RBC in Canmore. For instance, even if you take in a bank draft to be deposited, they still question your credibility if you the one making the deposit are a visible minority. It's really awful at the Canmore branch. I have never experienced anything like it at any of the other banks in Canmore.
