A client for 20 odd years. Always nice to be there - like meeting friends. Saw a lot of histile and abusive situations coming from clients freaking out over things for which banks are not responsible. The CIBC staff always stayed cool and professional. But these are the people who must have pidgeon-holed the branch with bad reviews. It is my branch, I will be there no mater what on a weekly basis. Banks are nasty work places - abuse from clients is simmering always. Happy if tellers don`t take it home after hours - great people and great professionals who deserve an extra praise.
I had a really nice experience with this branch. Initially I was about to open a bank account with scotiabank but I'm so glad I chose CIBC afterall! They also offer nice offers for the newcomers and foreign workers that come to Canada. And the customer service in the canmore branch was really positive..I didnt book an appointment but Daire Hogan, who was the one who attended me, still offered his time to help me open a bank account. And everything went so smoothly, fast and easy and he explained me all the information very clearly and in an easy way to understand. Thank you! I've had a positive experience with this branch so far.
If you like to waste hours on the phone get the full-on runaround and weeks trying to get certain services that many other banks offer with any issue, then this is the perfect bank for you!
Kimberly Foy and Amber Smith were Super! Would like to thank them both for assisting us with an account update we needed quickly. They were most considerate with obtaining the requested banking information in order to get an account with a supplier onside. The supplier needed the information that same day! Considering we had a rather awkward time at another branch who shall remain nameless in consideration of being graceful and discreet Kimberly and Amber both came through with excellent service and helped restore the value of the mission statement of CIBC Thanks again.

After phoning the CIBC headquarters that has a recording which was not helpful in any manner.... a most pleasant and helpful person by the name of Kim answered the phone at the CIBC Canmore branch on Saturday! She was courteous and considerate and really helped us sort our or mortgage information. Well done and Thanks again.
Very unhelpful staff. Will not even help local businesses with change to serve our community.
Had to go to the bank today. I dreaded being trapped inside that small space but the Canmore branch had taken lots of precautions. From markings on the floor to keep space between customers to a makeshift "pamphlet-holder-shield" to protect the teller who was also wearing a mask. There was even a chair blocking direct access to the counter so clients couldn't get too close to workers. Thanks for being there, taking care of your customers but most importantly of yourselves: can't help anyone if your'e sick!
can i give less than one star? 1. Ive been kicked off my bank account 3 times in the last 4 months cause they cant figure out how to input ID. 2. this random credit card showed up on my account and they cant get rid of it. 3. the online website never works, it wouldnt let me transfer funds for 3 days, and it deleted all my e-transfer contacts. 4. i applied for a loan and after wasting a month of my time told me i was approved, but they couldnt give it to me cause my credit cards arent with them. what? good bye cibc.
Fumiko was amazing to deal with. Superb service and extremely friendly! A favourite location.
I have never experienced so many difficulties with any other CIBC branch. ever other branch I receive quick, honest, respectful service.
