I went there today looking for financial solutions/assistance in clearing the debt acquired during a period of unemployment due to covid. The financial advisor Roswitha was extremely dismissive and insulting. Most of the time cutting me and my wife off when we were explaining things. She flat out asked if I brought my wife with me to the meeting because I was unable to figure out my finances myself. I'm tempted to clear out all my accounts and take my business to another bank. I thought RBC was better than most banks, I guess not.
Absolutely horrible experience with the older lady at customer service. I came in 2 min late after 5pm closing after rushing from work, getting stuck in traffic due to construction. The older lady at the reception was rude and unprofessional. I needed a money draft to proceed with down payment for buying a house the next day in the morning and might not have time. Politely explained my situation and against my expectations, she shut the door in my face. What an absolute disappointment. I even tried calling before coming to let them know I might be a minute or two late. But got put on hold for what felt like an eternity only to have the call dropped. What’s funny is I have 4 products with RBC including a mortgage, payroll, investments, and credit card. Perhaps TD or Scotiabank would appreciate my business a little more. Speechless.
I called the “branch number” to ask a simple branch specific question, 25 mins later involving several press this number for x,y,x questions I was placed on hold. The person who picked up was not a person at the specific branch I called. I amazing, they could not answer my question as they determined what I already knew. They transferred me to the branch where all I got was a voicemail. This is an example of what I would call “poor customer service to telephone customers” trying to ask a branch specific question that would take one minute to ask and thirty seconds da to answer.
They have nobody outside to manage the line ever. I was in line outside in front of 10 people and it was not moving for 30 minutes until one person went inside to see an empty bank with 4 tellers. Only then did 6 people go in and the line started moving. GET SOMEONE OUTSIDE TO MANAGE THE LINE
Horrible service. I have been a customer for almost 25 years and am appalled by the service provided to my husband. They refused to cash a Certified Cheque and wanted to put a hold on the funds. This branch gives RBC a bad name.
Just another blood sucking bank. Billion dollar profits from us as they nickel and dime us. Staff are nice but will be replace by a machine in a heartbeat to save a buck.

Hour and a half and the lady she can’t open account the worst bank ever And she told me go to the TD Bank may they can open an account for you at TD Bank took them 17 minutes exactly to open account for me bad service
